Did I hear that right?
Are there only two episodes left? Is TNT doing its stupid split-season again, part of what killed off Men of a Certain Age?

Reckoning is one of their albums I regularly return to, and I think it has one of the best flows from song to song.

@Cedar_Room I was listening to these albums on cassette at the time, and I always thought Underneath The Bunker was a fun way to end Side A, this silly little Latin rhythm with nonsensical lyrics. I would put this album on at the offices of the school newspaper, and whenever Underneath the Bunker would come on all of

Life's Rich Pageant
I love Life's Rich Pageant. It hit me at just the right moment in life, an album full of anthems during my college years. And it was great to hear their sound opening up after what I felt was the endless droning in Fables of the Reconstruction. And I loved hearing Mike Mills take the lead vocals

Oh boy
Someone should have posted that picture as NSFW. Not sure what people would think wandering past my cube.

Please don't advance to the next video
I hate that, once the video finishes, I get ported to another video. I'd like to just stay and read the text here, please.

Curtains
A buddy of mine introduced me to Scotch just before we went in to see this movie. If I remember correctly, the movie is set in chapters, with a stage curtain that says like "Chapter 1" opening up. I passed out 15 minutes into the film, and woke up to the curtain for chapter 4 opening up.

Yeah, I know. Falling Skies isn't living up the previews, and it's a little too milquetoast. I wish it had some of the edge and honesty of an FX or AMC show. I'll probably stick with it a couple more weeks to see if the story develops.

I vote Ron Perlman, because he played the Beast in that '80s TV show with Linda Hamilton, and he's worked with Del Toro before on Hellboy.

Good to hear
Bounced between this and Falling Skies last night. I think it's only the second time I've seen Breaking Bad (I caught a random episode in season 1), but it was certainly intense and riveting.

Sounds like Rabin's THEN! articles that are only five months behind.

How did that happen?
I was flipping back and forth between this and Breaking Bad, and I think I missed something. How did the doctor get the split lip?

Nice graphic
Nice photo there, that's what I think a flag in the United States of Palin would look like.

I saw the re-release a few years back where they added some more footage (the spider-walking scene among them). I'd forgotten how long it takes for the movie to get going. The movie is still pretty powerful. The whole theater was riveted during the whole "The power of Christ compels you!" scene.

Tonight at 10pm?
Shit, this or Pawn Stars?

The Ring was a great communal movie experience for me. Went with a bunch of friends, in a completely packed theater. Looking around during the movie, it looked like at any time about a quarter of the audience was watching with a hand on their forehead like the screen was the sun and they were shading their faces.

And A Norm's.

@Jay S. Golf tournaments will generally continue in rain unless there's a threat of lightning or the water starts to pool on the greens.

Split season
I really wish TNT hadn't split this season in half (although "Let The Sunshine In" with the boys going out to the desert to get colonoscopies was a great episode to end the 1st half). There felt like there was a lot of story to be told that the writers didn't get to in the second half. I had waited so

Does that make Bateman the brains and Sudeikis the good looks in the three-way dynamic?
