Carole King
This episode caused me to listen to about two hours of Carole King on Youtube. Loved the use of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow".

Love the honesty
This show is quickly becoming appointment television for me. I was surprised myself by how much I was looking forward to this new season/resumption of the season tonight. The writing feels very naturalistic and honest, sometimes brutally honest. I love how the touches of humor are low-key and feel…
I'm always a little amazed by Romano's ability to act, coming from his stand-up background. He was a little rough in the first season of Everybody Loves Raymond, but eventually blended in with a cast of ringers, even doing some physical comedy on that series. I really like him on this show, his character's flaws…
I never could get into Newsradio when it aired, and I think part of it was my frustration was seeing Phil Hartman as just one smarmy character. On SNL, I was so used to him being able to play any part under the sun. Seeing him bottled up into just one persona just made me feel like I was being cheated out of more,…
NOW! That's What I Call Music fled across the desert, and Nathin Rabin followed.
Wasn't that crash scene part of the opening credits for The Fall Guy tv series?
The liquid nitrogen is probably at the Atlanta airport, where Blais had to leave it as he tried to bring a cannister as his carry-on.
I don't think Antonia actively, or even subconsciously, sabatoges her own side in these team competitions. She's always working hard and busting her ass. The Black Hammer title is just earned for having this black cloud, bad luck thing that hangs over her, where her side just seems to lose more often than they…
Nice editing, Bravo
Given the effusive praise that Mikey was getting during the meals, I thought for sure he was going to win. Not to mention Blais had Antonia on his team, who is the bad luck Black Hammer.
When is the TC Reunion show then, if Masters is taking over the time slot next week?
With how happy the non-chosen chefs were to not have to cook, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them plated a pile of shit just so could have a couple of free days and just enjoy a meal in the Bahamas.
I'm sure everyone's lit up on mixed drinks on that Live show. It's the only way to survive Andy Cohen's mugging for the camera.
Got to hand it to Mikey
When I initially saw the lineup for this season, I put Mikey immediately into the bottom half. He was middling in his own season at best, being consistently outcooked by Jennifer, Kevin the Gastrognome, and both Voltaggio brothers. He's really come along way in the later half of All-Stars.
Carla will meet Beaker, and they'll find out they're related.
Grade A from me
I disagree that this episode was a continuation of last week's lull. I thought it had great touches. Fondue for one, which I don't think I've seen before on Top Chef. Having the contestants judge each other for the Quickfire was a great addition. I thought the cell phone camera picture idea was…
They should have had ERICA from the Glad commercials pop in and cook with them. So everything could be FRESH, CHILLY, and ECONOMICAL!
Beef tongue in both Cantonese style and Mexican style is downright delicious. Tender, succulent goodness. The food that licks you back.
SJP was hot in L.A. Story.
Great Quickfire
It took a re-watching for me to appreciate how greatness of the Quickfire. The excellent quality of the entire episode and the series' signature Restaurant Wars scenario made me almost forget how great it was to see these chefs measure themselves to the seafood breakdown expertise at Le Bernardin. …
Maybe because Conner is an ass-kicker who is trying to relate to humans and work through his daddy issues, while Pete Campbell's defining personality trait through much of Mad Men has been "weasel".
