I have the same reaction when I'm watching reruns of Supernatural and see people like Julie Benz and Amy Acker and others from the Whedonverse.

@Johnny Rico, maybe someone on Real Genius was a SCIAC fan.

Agree with Dennis. I'd take more Hitler footage any day over UFOs, 2012, Nostradamus crap that has no business being on a "history" channel.

Every student that goes to Pomona College quickly learns that parts of Real Genius were shot there. And the opening sequence to the first season of Facts of Life. Real Genius has to lead the rentals on Netflix for that zip code every fall when a new freshman class comes in.

Rat Race was a potentially great slapstick movie that lost steam the closer the teams got to the prize. Random moments that I think are awesome:

As a fan of Ryder Cup competition, it's obvious when there's a race for points that you put your strongest competitors in the front. If you don't, there's always the danger that your strongest people won't even get a chance to compete because the competition will be over.

Agreed, Rowan. Blizzard is to gaming what Pixar is to animation. And even Pixar was slightly less than astonishing with Cars.

New favorite quest name: "What? What? In My Gut…?"

@Melancholic Rodeo Clown don't forget F15-Strike Eagle, Pirates!, Airborne Ranger, X-Com (the only game in my mind that might compete with Civ I as my favorite ever), Railroad Tycoon.

Lullaby is an absolute classic, and every time I see it I think it might be my favorite Angel episode (until I see another great one). There's just so many great shots: Darla knocking the gang back to the four corners, Holtz throwing his daughter into the sunlight, Holtz' Terminator move through a burning Caritas.

Cato the house boy
Those scenes in the Pink Panther where Cato the house boy would attack Clouseau to keep his fighting skills sharp, those really tickled my childhood funnybone. Perfect Three Stooges-type of slapstick.

It was odd for me to hear Benz doing interviews for the first time, because her normal voice is a much higher pitch. If I were her, I'd stay in her lower, huskier, sexier Darla voice all the time.

Singles
Hard to believe the woman with the squinty eyes and terrible accent is the same woman who was wonderful in the movie Singles. It's a decent TV show with average writing, a really great supporting cast surrounding a rather terrible lead performance.

Why reboot?
Why the fuck do we need a reboot of a franchise where the last movie came out in 2007? Spider-Man 3 was disappointing but not a fiasco, and overall Sam Raimi's movies were great. This reminds me of Ed Norton's Hulk that came out just a few years after Ang Lee's (underappreciated IMO) version.

Coldplay video
The way that Coldplay video started, I was expecting them to do a remake of the Happy Days theme song.

@Pairesta Here's Elia blasting Tom Colicchio in the press:

Wait, what?
Johnny Depp plays a Wisconsin schoolteacher? Where's his belly and cheese curds?

I started watching Top Chef in the middle of Season 2, so I never got to see Katie Lee. Holy shit, is that woman wooden. No wonder they got rid of her for Padma.

I think Casey is a bit like Fabio, in that they are both great on camera and in their interview segments, so their entertainment value may be greater than their cooking ability.

Big bang ending
Very surprised that Jen got the boot, but that's what I like about this entire season. No interminable wait of separating wheat from chaff, a strong contender gets knocked out in just the second show. The only bottom-half contestants I see are Stephen, Spike, and Fabio.
