If you wanted to repopulate the world after a zombie apocalypse, blondie would be a good place to start.

That reminds me, Popeye's is having it's Tuesday 2 pc leg and thigh for $1.29 around these parts. FUCK YEAH IT'S TUESDAY.
I hope this show can be picked up by another network.
Slayer on vinyl
A whole section on Slayer, and no mention at all of ZMF? Is the staff resisting the easy connection for a reason?
I think De Niro has a tough time reading cue cards. Maybe it's old age eyesight, or maybe he's just used to memorizing lines. He was floundering out there, killing any comic timing on his jokes while he was scrounging for the cue card.
Agree on seeing Blais back, that guy was amazing in Season 4. I hope you're right that Bourdain is a regular judge for this season. I hope Eric Ripert makes appearances, although there might be a conflict because Jen cooks at one of his restaurants.
I definitely would have to go with Blais as the favorite. He dominated his season more than any other chef with except for maybe Hung. I would put Angelo and Jen as other strong contenders. I'm intrigued by Dale and Carla, who both floundered early in their seasons but got stronger and stronger near the finish line.
Pfizer
I was at a four-day Pfizer national sales rep meeting back in the late '90s. Jesus christ, it was like 15,000 horny college frosh at their first frat party. All these Type A personalities wanting to fuck each other. Two of the sales reps didn't even make it to their hotel room one night, they just started…
Laura Allen
Is this the right thread to start salivating over Laura Allen? I can't keep my eyes off her on that show, she looks like a Tootsie-era Jessica Lange that can actually act.
@Shrike I know when that transformation started for me. I had universally hated all boy bands through the entire NKOTB-> Backstreet -> N'Sync era. So naturally I hated JT as well, and fully expected his solo career to go down in flames like any of that era's boy band alumni.
Fuck Nickleback and their Groan Rock. They are the worst thing about this otherwise likeable column. The world is better that their songs aren't constantly on the airwaves anymore. But the only unfortunate thing about THEN is that it forces us to relive what was current five years ago, and the nonstop Nickleback…
Non-provocative
What a surprisingly pedestrian interview, in both questions and responses, for an artist that used to be on the cutting edge of comedy. I feel like I have no insight into what she's been doing since she was a larger part of the cultural zeitgeist. Just random thoughts about current politics and Botox.
Billy
My biggest beef with Billy (which I think is an otherwise excellent episode), is that the payoff for the character wasn't as good as the setup. Here you have a guy that was supposedly so badass that he warranted his own guarded cell in hell. He gets freed, no mention of him for a few episodes (generating…
Thanks for the replies. @RonoftheDead, TNT's schedule is two shows a day, basically 10 shows a week, so it rotates the entire series pretty quickly. I think you're right about the show bringing you up to speed, generally with the 30 sec or so recap at the beginning.
Supernatural fans
I've been kind of following Supernatural through the weekday morning back-to-back episodes that TNT airs. I believe it's currently in the beginning Season 3. Would it be worth watching the current airing season, or will I be completely lost?
Sergio!
Loved this guy's margin art in Mad, it was like finding extra-credit nuggets of humor. I remember when he used to appear on the TV show "Real People", coming up with a cartoon by the end of the show.
Very good entry for 30 for 30
I thought this was one of the better entries in the series. I thought it started a little slow, and could have edited down the first bit that established the back story with the slain Civil Rights workers. This documentary is about Dupree, and you don't even see him for ten minutes as…
Holy shit
The Backstreet Boys actually had music on the air up to 2005? I thought they fell off a cliff sometime around Y2K.
'80s Heart video ballads. Nancy Wilson on "These Dreams", "Alone", "What About Love", "Never". My genitals still involuntarily flinch from the abuse I gave it because of these videos.
