I think I've heard seven of the eighteen tracks. And I only *like* four of them. My friends tell me they are a great live band, but I don't know if four songs is enough for me to pick up this collection.

I love the episodes where they give David Boreanaz a chance to break out of the usual brooding Angel character. I think the guy has a solid sense of comic timing.

I liked Beckinsale in The Aviator.

Isn't Wiltfong the Nationwide insurance guy now?

These games need more Journey and Eagles and other karaoke party staples.

Wow
The original series ran for twelve seasons? I used to catch them in syndication, I had no idea.

I'm ashamed that I'm around the same age as Gwen, and there's no way I could wear the cutoff stuff to show off my abs like that girl can.

@La Pipe no way, the biggest mouth of that time had to go to the lead singer in 4 Non-Blondes.

Ron Shelton recently did a documentary for ESPN's 30 for 30 on Michael Jordan's time in the minor leagues.

The first few episodes didn't really draw me in. I'm not sure why, but I stuck with the show, and it really got better midway through. The intrigue and backstabbing really ratcheted up, and the storylines actually became pretty compelling. The characters, who at first seemed to be straight stock stereotypes,

I think Shaolin Soccer had a tighter, simpler story. The crazy landlady was the highlight of Kung Fu Hustle, and I think the movie kind of lost its way after she became a sympathetic character.

Or maybe Daddy Faye gets involved and makes Don an offer he can't refuse. Then Season 5 will be about SCDP dealing with the mob trying to get its hooks into advertising, and Matt Weiner can retcon The Sopronos into his show. We'll get to see Anthony Soprano as a fat kid again.

He weirds me out. I kept expecting him to introduce Sally to sex.

The steel with which Faye says that line, it made me think that she might have picked up that something was going on between Megan and Don. Or she might have just been kind of pissed to see them walking together earlier.

Different scene
LeFebre Jones mentioned it in the comments above, but I'm wondering what others thought of John Slattery's choice to do the quick-cut whimsical bit interspersing all the one-on-one conversations that were going on at the agency. Personally, I enjoyed it. I think it was a neat and quick way to show

I can't imagine watching The Fountain a second time. I thought the movie was great, but so emotional and wrenching that I would think a second viewing would be just draining. I think there was a prior AVQ&A that addressed art that was too tough to experience a second time through (Requiem for A Dream?).

Thank you for reminding me about Earth Abides. In 7th grade my Reading teacher (yes, we actually had a class called Reading) gave me a copy of that book, and I was really touched and moved by it. I remember the only thing that took me out of the immersion of the story was that they dumped DDT on everything to ward

Dr. Faye
I'm kinda surprised that Dr. Faye gave in to Don. After he threw her at Sally to try and calm her down, and then this week asking her for client leads, I thought she would realize how much of a user Don could be.

Sparks
God, Sparks is still around? I thought they were a one-hit wonder with "Cool Places".

It's amazing that Laura Palmer's dad looks exactly the same as he did 20 years ago.
