I caught this at the San Diego Asian Film Festival last year (and I'm looking forward to the sequel which they'll be showing this year). I thought it was a blast, very cleanly shot, incredible fight sequences.

He was absolutely the best reason to watch Tough Crowd. I think I remember one time where he said watching Ralphie May and Patrice O'Neal arguing with each other was like watching krill swim between the two of them.

Nice briefs
- Although I loved Party Down and would have gladly watched another season, I think the writers did a good job of wrapping things up on a hopeful note (and a great one-shot return of Jane Lynch) in the finale. It reminded me of how brilliantly the original British-version of The Office ended, poignant,

Reunion show
No new article for the reunion show? I admit that Bravo usually dedicates about half of the reunion show to just fluff (the "sexy" version of the opening montage? Is that really necessary?), rather than have the contestants answer the questions we really want to know ("Angelo, are you really as arrogant

40-Year Old Virgin > The Hangover > Old School

Couldn't handle it
I could only watch about ten minutes before I switched over to The Daily Show. It had the same forced over-the-top gayness that used to make me me flip away from Will & Grace.

Missing something
This is the first season of Top Chef where I just checked out, and didn't watch for maybe a month. The whole process of separating wheat from chaff really got me this season, and I didn't come back until there were six chefs left. The contestants didn't really seem to have any personality trait

Shit
I think every episode this season has had the word "Shit" in it. This week's episode not only had a mention, but had Duck trying to have a bowel movement all over the office. Other commentator's have noted the mentions of suicide as foreshadowing for this season. I think the fecal mentions foreshadow that the

I like this format
I like this format of commenting on each song. I think it's apropos to the ephemeral nature of pop music to give each song it's own little blurb. There have been a lot of songs on prior volumes that I had hoped would be commented on, and have been disappointed when there was nothing.

Gasteyer's Celine Dion impression just killed me. She needs to get props for being one of the NPR ladies too.

AV Club Commentators tell me
I really enjoyed the two seasons of Party Down. Is Veronica Mars worth getting into? Should I put it on my Netflix queue?

I love her as Peggy, but every now and then I still see her as Zoey Bartlet from The West Wing.

I'd be afraid to shoot Snoop, even if it's just paint.

Thanks to the AV Club for restarting Angel reviews. I watched these episodes again on Netflix, and was pleasantly surprised to notice that the woman that plays young Judy in "Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been" was on later seasons of West Wing as Leo's bouncy admin Rina.

For some reason, the Nike commercials he did stick in my mind.

AV Club commentators made me do it
I actually bought this movie at my local Asian DVD store, because one of the AV Club commentators on the review of Red Cliff said this movie was better. I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The movie starts off great, but then seems to slip into predictability halfway through.

I think the reason B.O.B. wasn't a huge hit was because it was just too long to be radio-friendly. Cut out maybe a minute and a half of the end and it might have made it onto pop radio.

I saw this film at the San Diego Asian Film Festival, and really enjoyed it. I had really liked Kaneshiro's work in "Accuracy of Death", and really liked him in this film as Kongming. I'd be interested in seeing the two-part version of this movie. This shortened version seemed to be almost propulsive in its

Marcel telling off Toby Young was during last season's finale, when Marcel, Casey and Richard Blais came back to act as sous chefs for the finalists.

I saw "The Wrong Trousers" for the first time back in the 1995 Spike and Mike's Festival of Animation. Absolutely the highlight of the show, I was rolling laughing.
