You’re just proving my point here—that kind of trash doesn’t make NYC a “tough” media market. There’s no hard-hitting journalism going on there. That’s just NYC media types being assholes because that’s what they believe they’re supposed to do.

Roth, the next Deadcast should just be you reading this aloud in your best Francesa voice.
I’m going to preface this with saying I’m not in NY, and I’m not from NY, so I’m sure all the “NYC IS THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE” people are going to decry this take as “you’re not from there, so you can’t possibly understand,” but...
Apocalypse is really the X-Men’s major, MCU Thanos-level threat (at least in terms of characters that would translate well to screen). He’s someone they could have built up to, over the course of a few movies...and instead, we got the otherwise-wonder Oscar Issac as an extremely neutered version of the greatest…
Not Starz?
Barry, after this post, they’ll be sending exactly one cop and one troop to come get you.
Legit tears coming out of my eyes right now
Take: the Raptors winning Game 1 actually makes it LESS likely Durant comes back this series. If Golden State loses this series while he’s sidelined, it will be a massive ego stroke for him.
It looks like as Passat and a Maxima had a baby.
1. I would not necessarily agree (re: defend and advocate)—there’s a thin line there, but it’s there—but I do see your larger point. Defending, to me, is saying “yeah, I did this, but here’s why!” Advocating is more of “you should definitely go do this!” I don’t think Nowell was advocating for people to sleep with…
That’s entirely possible. And maybe this is just me being a “old man yells at cloud” scenario. But the lyrics themselves are pretty cringe worthy in 2019.
Nowhere in my post did I say he was advocatingnowhere in my post did I say he was advocating for it. But the character in the song – – whether it’s Bradley or someone else – – is clearly defending it, and that’s pretty cringey.
There was a time I would reflexively called this a hawt taek, but...you’re not wrong? He courts drama. He made it a point to shoot hoops at the opposite end of the floor during the announcement of the new coach, and then refused to give even a single comment in support of the hire when the media asked about it; he…
There is a natural order to things, that isn’t to be trifled with. Decades of horror movies have taught us this.
10/10, would wear, but I was really disappointed they never let Seth McFarlane use the lightsaber.
I was trained to carve out the bottom for easy placement over a candle.
Whenever “Wrong Way” comes on the radio, I cringe. Yes, it is *immensely* terrible that the 14-year-old girl got turned out by her dad and brothers, and became a prostitute...what’s arguably worse is Nowell singing about sleeping with her anyway because “he’s only a man,” as though that excuses it.
Yeah, but it’s mostly the same three or so songs. “Wrong Way” (which, yikes), “Santeria,” and “What I Got.” You don’t hear a lot of stations in the format (which there aren’t many of, anymore) playing deep cuts.
Wrong franchise, man...wrong franchise.
