Yup. It was just exactly what was running through her head. I don’t think I ever had a bad word to say about her before, but I think her words and actions after this tragedy have been lovely and honest.

I felt the same way. You could feel her pain, it made me cry.

This is really impressive. I wouldn’t blame her if she decided never to go there again. Performing after this must be really scary. I’m sure this show will sell out in no time and I hope it brings a little bit of joy to her fans.

I wouldn’t blame her if she never wanted to perform again. This takes guts and I’m impressed

I was genuinely moved by her first tweet. It seemed heartfelt and not overly crafted. Good for her for following it up with concrete action.

Honestly... fuck you.

Poor kid. I cannot imagine the paranoia/fear/anger that must be triggered in a young artist whose performance venue has been the scene of such tragedy, such horror. I keep thinking of the tailspin Amy Schumer went into after the cinema shooting during one of her films. It must take tremendous, unseen courage to move

Kidman has also been great about working with up and coming directors, male or female. That’s something a star of her stature doesn’t have to do. More than any other star, she has the most fascinating filmography. I’m so glad she’s having a renaissance right now from Lion to Big Little Lies to these films at Cannes.

I’m not sure I understand the backlash to this comment. Nicole Kidman practically begged Jane Campion on bended knee to do Portrait of a Lady. She continually picks incredibly off the beaten path roles with nuanced (not strong, not perfect) women. I totally get her sentiment. Movie making is weird and can be super

Eighteen months makes sense to me, when you consider pre-production, production, promotion, awards shows, all that bullshit, and also a personal life – she has young kids and a spouse in the entertainment industry, too.

One of the toxic bits is this idea that JUST women do this kind of negativity when men engage in it constantly and it just is never seen as something worth worrying about.

Nope, that’s just the bod she’s been rockin’ as an adult.

As someone who lives with an invisible illness (Crohn’s Disease since 2000), I find the tone of this piece to be very short sighted. I take mass transit daily, and sometimes fatigue or chronic pain will hit out of nowhere and I find myself wishing someone would give me their seat. But “I don’t look sick” is what I’m

“Wouldn’t they be just as likely to ask for a chair with or without a button announcing their condition?”

Smoking is gross. Indoor smoking is even more gross. Indoor smoking that ruins original art pieces and haute couture gowns people spent months making for these idiots is reprehensible.

Because there are 8 hours in the day when you don’t feel bad about yourself so the beauty industry needs to get in on that

I went to a church service for a young woman who had taken her own life. The pastor stood up in front of over 200 people who knew and loved her and apologized and asked for forgiveness for failing one of the people in his pastoral care. He then proceeded to celebrate her existance, validated her existential despair

Lay off Moss and Scientology, for the following reasons:

I took it more as he didn’t understand how his grandson could ultimately get himself to a point where murdering someone was an option. I could get that. I would be in absolute shock if one of my family members murdered someone. It would be beyond my understanding how they could do that. Especially in such a cold,

A lot of us really like them and keep asking Kevin to do more.
