Grew up with (thanks to my dad and our friend at DejaVu Audio) Mark Levinson Stacked Quads, Magnepan Tympanis, etc, and several different car stereo systems. Currently drive a 2019 RDX and I have to agree that the ELS system is amazing. It’s a significant improvement over the ELS system in the 2006 TL I used to have.

I will concur. I am a semi-audiophile. I cannot make audio systems a priority, and like many other things, there comes a point where the incremental sound improvement generally does not justify the cost.

There needs to be a Flag selection for commenters that obviously didn’t read the article

With numbers like that, I might be inclined to have a healthy dose of skepticism about this whole thing, except you link the Lucid Air article right in the middle of this one.

You’re probably going to fucking die in a flaming mass of splattered flesh and crumpled bones with the jetpack, but it still beats flying with United.

I only see the Outlander listed there, it doesn’t appear that the PHEV is listed separately.

It’s not depth of field.... it’s perspective. Longer lenses make the background bigger relative to the subject, and also kind of flatten the subject. The background growth helps isolate the subject, even without blowing the background out.

I think he was talking more about compression in general, more than depth of field. I caught what he was throwing.. He talks about the wide angle distortion, how minimal the compression and wide angle distortion is at the “normal” focal length, and so on.

Compression works like this: Wide angle makes foreground look

Just like the kids will be in the Crystal Lite!

I’d hate to take a road trip with you, since you don’t plan to stop to piss at any point in 8 hours. If you charge whenever you stop, you don’t arrive with an empty battery.

I drove a Model 3 from Syracuse NY to Badlands SD, and by charging whenever we stopped to use the bathroom or eat it only took us 20 minutes or

Canada requires them for vessels over 8 meters.

More like America's penthouse. Fundamentally very similar, but everything's just better up here.

“Grumpy old man”, also virulent anti-Semite.

Hey, I’ve got no beef with minivans.  I think the new ones are very practical and useful machines;  probably moreso than anything else out there.

i have about 500lbs of accessories that i take off during the week and slap on during the weekend for trips so stop your whining and take it off. it just looks ridiculous

Of course they are killing the Fit. It’s a car that fills the needs of 94.3% of America so no one is buying it. As for getting rid of the Accord manual... Eff everyone who talks the talk but doesn’t buy manual transmissions.

I wouldn’t take Stern’s word for much.

0 to death wobble in 3 seconds.

Right, and the Stinger and G70 have cheaper MacPherson front suspension and only the G70 gets an LSD if you opt for AWD. Is that proper sports sedan or cruder?
