I dunno man. My cubemate at work owned a MK 6 Gti and a MK 7 GTi before eventually getting the Civic Si he has now. He also owned a mustang GT in there somewhere.

He really likes the Civic and presumably bought it over another GTi after having owned 2 of them.

How does the Si under-perform? The FoST, FiST, BRZ and Si are exactly as fast as one another. The GTI has a decent performance edge on the street, but the Si matches it in C&D’s Lighting Lap. The Veloster N is the only car listed that’s wildly faster than anything else.

GTI is better for a few years. Then it falls apart and is worth less than a riding lawnmower. So yes. GTI if you’re going to lease or change up every 2-4 years. Civic SI if you’re keeeping it.

While I personally like the GTI and would probably get it in this class, the Si is still a compelling car. Honda excels in handling and driver ergonomics. The shifter feel is excellent. The clutch uptake is excellent. The car is responsive. The suspension is the BMW version of econoboxes, i.e. the perfect balance of

the Si is a brilliant car. a better sports car than a BRZ/86 in my opinion.

Why do we need more big ass trucks on our roads? I get the infrastructure sucks, but isn’t our truck craze a bit of an overreaction? I mean, if you want a tank, get a Ripsaw I guess.

Is there anything that you will be doing on this road trip that you couldn’t do, better, in a Subaru Outback?

I don’t think seatbelts are a practical solution to anything.”

Bicycle?

Besides the real exhaust tips and brushed aluminum grille surround, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, which is really tragic for a car with my name on the title.

There is a difference between having a “bezel” around a regular round pipe and having fake exhausts. The GT350 has shaped bezels with a pipe feeding into it. As seen below:

I figured out the ?. It goes:

Holy shit I should have coughed up for a prime

45 mpg (hatch) 48 mpg (sedan) is not better than 53 mpg (Prius Prime)

Fuck, it was hard enough finding 3 friends that didn’t mind riding in this thing.

Figure in what you pay for regular ICE car mufflers, oil changes, brakes, other fluids and broken moving parts that electric cars don’t over their lifetime PLUS the gas savings and you’ll soon realize how backwards you have everything.

Or hate having to find a gas station, stop to fuel up, rejoin traffic out of your way, etc. In LA and high-$ cities, where the retail gasoline business is collapsing, that’s become a real issue.

Why would you? Wouldn’t you just charge it at night so that you can have it preheat the cabin for you while on wall power?

How does the acceleration feel? That nice punchy electric feeling?
