And his reply was: “It would be shitty, but not illegal, which makes it a question for the voters not for the senate.”

A good example of this would be the Investigations into the Trump campaign during the election cycle. They were legitimate, but badly mishandled (see also, the FBI acknowledging that the Carter Page

You’re neglecting the primary thrust of what Dershowitz said. He specifically said that “legal” actions in pursuit of re-election cannot be impeachable, even If they’re an exercise of the power of the office. If you murder someone, that’s obviously not legal.

He gave the example of Nixon and Clinton. Nixon committed

If a president does something which he believes will help him get elected in the public interest, that cannot be the kind of quid pro quo that results in impeachment

I will agree with you about the MR2 and, begrudgingly, the Celica.

The Solara was a “nope” for me.

Yes, you are correct that there are beautiful cars with long hoods, but the MKIV supra was not one of them. It has not aged well.

You don’t have to have atmosphere to be at altitude.

I mean, I’m gonna get technical here, but doesn’t the tesla roadster hold the altitude record?

These Camrys (Camries?) are some of the best looking Toyota cars of the 90s, and the best looking Camrys period.

Before someone comes in talking about the Supra, the MKIII Supra wasn’t great looking, and the MKIV was awkwardly proportioned with that crazy long hood and tall rear deck.

That sikorsky is a twin engine turbine craft. Simultaneous catastrophic failure is suuuuper unlikely.

Actually, most of the people talking of a “complicated legacy” are people on the left because of the accusations he faced.

But heads up: everyone has a complicated legacy. No one is perfect or pure, and we need to acknowledge that.

He was a johnny come lately to the Democratic party

1st gear: I will encourage Renault and Nissan to work it out, rebadge the Alpine A110, and bring it to America. Please.

Actual ownership history:

Isn’t the mailer they failed to respond to prior notice?

I can relate to this as the owner of a car that only gets driven on weekends. I love cars. I love driving. I hate commuting. Driving is fun and entertaining. Commuting is a mind numbing time suck that slowly drains your life away.

Have you been to Atlanta? Because their public transit is horrible and doesn’t come close to covering the area it needs to. It was crippled by a combination of sprawl and NIMBY.

Again, you’re sort of correct.

Payroll taxes can cover the amount of social security now. But not social security, medicare, and medicaid (which is what payroll tax is (allegedly) earmarked for.)

Social security is not funded separately. That argument is correct if you consider payroll taxes to be separate taxes that are totally isolated, but they are not. Payroll tax is an additional income tax that goes into the general federal spending pool.

The hate for the Chiron is even more deserved, since for three million dollars, there are a lot of cars you could buy that show you have a shitload of money and also taste, like an Aston Martin DB4, or Ferrari 250GT Lusso, or Lamborghini Miura. You’re going to drive them at the same speed anyway, who cares if the
