My first (and only) thought as well. In my mind, it is quite literally the only thing I dislike about daily driving a manual. I’m a young guy (25) and even after only a short time in heavy traffic, it really gets to my knee. And I always worry I’ll burn my clutch up or something stupid (even though I know I won’t).

Those of us who don’t live up north, realize that leather + shorts = pain. Leather sucks. It sucks so bad, I can’t even. It roasts in the car. It cracks and looks like crap if it hasn’t been taken care of. It’s the worst possible material you can stick into a car’s interior.

still an apples/oranges comparison.

Since the TDI’s selling point is essentially that it’s better for the environment, yet it is significantly worse than its claims, let me adjust the analogy here:

Dude, Motorex is/was TEENY. This is VW we’re talking about and there are half a million of these driving around the US. If the EPA decides to let a handful of R34s keep driving around, that’s very different than the circumstances here. Just because a precedent EXISTS doesn’t mean it automatically applies to ALL

Motorex has nothing to do with you suggesting people buy a car that will fail inspection in states which have emissions testing for nitrous oxide once the cheat is disabled — and everyone is going to know the cars are cheating.

Your analogy fails — the difference with “If the government outlawed the making of new Dodge Charger Hellcats because of some technicality that says no new sedan can have over 700 horsepower” — is that the 700 hp legal Hellcat is amazing and works great and is perfect legal today, and if grandfathered in by a later

I concur. This is, possibly, the most goddamn Jalop car ever featured on NPCP and we sitting here bitching about rotary choice. This doesn’t look like it’s just been thrown together either.

Jalops find unicorn. Jalops complain about unicorn. It’s a BROWN MANUAL ROTARY WAGON PEOPLE. This thing is NP all day.

It’s a manual. It’s a wagon. It’s RWD. It looks to be rust free. It doesn’t have AC. It has an awesome sounding stupid motor installed that will make you want to climb every gear to it’s peak. It’s JDMerific.

So abortion = killing babies.

I first heard an Abarth in the parking lot of the commuter train. I heard it coming up behind me. I expected an Italian. I wouldn't have guessed "Fiat" in a hundred guesses, though.

+1

Black is my least favorite color for a car, but that’s just like, my opinion, maaaaaan

No, I’m of the generation where fast sports cars are yellow, not red.

I probably phrased it confusingly. My point was more that, while motorcycles as they currently exist don’t run afoul of any public endangerment standards in my mind, the argument that “I want to have cool things” isn’t really an argument at all. It should be more like “I want to have cool things AND these cool things

Maybe it would have made more sense if I reversed the order of statements?

Despite these stock photos...the vast majority of people I’ve seen wear these are not kids. These are objectively, not cool.

Then I’m willing to bet it wasn’t food poisoning and it was something that just didn’t agree with you. Food poisoning is violent.

So many morals to that story!
