the morning after pill.

I’m going to be a little vulnerable here and ask what I’m sure is a dumb question.  what is the difference between a nationalist and a white nationalist?  is it just a nationalist who is white themselves or is white nationalism a separate set of beliefs from nationalism...

I couldn’t agree more.  so many of the problems with this season could have been fixed with more time.

I cannot stress enough how surprised I am at the number of comments trying to find ways to improve this monstrosity. The only one I can think of is to kill it with fire.

certainly there is some photoshop nonsense going on here.  right?  RIGHT?!?!?!

I like this response. we saw her internal calculus differently which is why we are coming down on different sides of this question. I agree with your premise almost completely. I just keep thinking that she felt entitled to rule based in a large part on the vision she has of herself as a better ruler than those she is

This is a well thought out and convincing response.  I almost completely agree.  I feel like having the baby burning as collateral damage is equally effective at getting across the ideas you lay out here without the need to portray what is in my opinion behavior that lands too far outside her character arc.  I am also

My bad man.  I honestly wasn’t trying to be adversarial with my comments.  I just like talking about things I like with other people who like the same things.  I was just trying to illustrate the way I saw things. I haven’t read all the articles on the site. I read this one then commented on this one. I’m also not

If she was going into the battle with the goal of razing the city, she would have immediately turned on the citizens as soon as the army was defeated. instead we see her waiting to see if they surrender only to then make the decision to murder indiscriminately

I felt like they were actually hinting that cersei beheading her dear friend was one of the reasons she was willing to go so far to complete her task which was revenge in that part.  she ignores the chance to do that and instead turns on the ants.  if she had decided to burn a bunch of women and children in order to

willing to sacrifice people to forward her own goals.  I didn’t feel like the show did enough to illustrate how her burning the city after they were already terrified enough to surrender did anything to forward her goals.

I have been responding to comments in the other GOT articles all day trying to make this point.  I could have just pointed folks here instead.  This makes a lot of sense to me and illustrates the issues I personally had with the episode.

we were paying attention. what was being foreshadowed was a ruler who was willing to commit an atrocity in service of forwarding her stated goals not one who ignores her goals in order to genocide an already terrified citizenry.

they almost certainly wont play it that way I agree.  however the reason it’s bad writing is that she WAS clearly insane in this episode.  just like how the power level of the scorpions was amped up and the power of the dragons was amped down when they needed to get rid of another dragon.  but then when they needed to

I think she did make the decision in the moment after the bells rang.  she was clearly waiting on the battlements to see if they would surrender now that the army was gone.  when the bells rang however she found that she wasnt satisfied with surrender as she thought she migh be.

he couldnt wait till after the battle because the whole reason he wanted her out was that he was certain she was going to conduct the battle in a way that would destroy not only the armies set against her but also all the innocents.  He only resorted to attempting to remove her in order to get someone in charge who

she has been ruthless and unflinching when it comes to 2 things:

exaclty this!  what i feel people who say this is in character are missing is that she does this for no reason.  the people were cowering and the armies were beaten.  it would make sense for her to be evil enough to kill anyone to actually get closer to her goals.  not for her to ignore her goals to spend time burning

idots seems like strong language in this case for people that disagree with you. I think you should consider that maybe you misunderstood something about either what those people are saying or the forecasting you mentioned. I think the show has been forecasting that Dany’s dark tendencies were that she was willing to

Everyone was already so afraid they gave up the city without orders from the top. they had given up on Cersei already. she didn’t kill all those women and children to strike fear. she did it because the writers decided it would be a good way to transition her into the big bad of the show. the thing is it would have
