this.  ALSO, if she was greiving a loss, why didnt she go after the responsible party?  she just let Cersei go while burining women and children.  and not women and children who were in the way of her killing soldiers or anything.  the soldiers were already dealt with...

Not sure I agree.  those two horrendous events were justified by saying that it was the horror inflicted that acted as a driving factor for the other side to surrender and end the war quickly.  thus less people died in the long run.  in this case, the war was already over.  it would be the same as the US dropping 2

your entire comment makes complete sense and is true. IF Danny had murdered civilians in an attempt to kill Cersei or maybe If the battle had not been going well and she was going to lose the day if she didn’t unleash Drogon. What has been foreshadowed is that she is willing to turn up the murder dial against her

it feels like to me it’s just about not losing.  An impeachment would be a huge loss and politics are tribal enough today that something that huge is unacceptable full stop.

I have never once witnessed or been involved in a conversation regarding reparations without these arguments showing up:

Question, I have only ever watched dragon ball  and dragon ball z and that was a long time ago but who teaches martial arts to goku after Yoshi?  like king kai taught him the spirit bomb, but does anyone teach him better ways to punch and kick people?  or are all the advanced techniques laser blasts and what not?

wow. just wow.

white privilege is being the white applicants for this job and having a qualified candidate eliminated before you even have to compete.  you would never know you had benefitted from your random genetic lottery win.  It is shameful that this story does not shock me in any way.

happy to be the 100th to star this excellent comment...

I’m so thankful at what is being celebrated here.  A US citizen reminding those in power what the fucking deal is.  I’m also glad we are not sitting in outrage at yet another brutal abuse of police power (more than just strolling in for no reason).

I think the intention is to avoid throwing it away, so however it works out it has to be better than getting nothing for it.

yeah, I was thinking more of the actual act of eating a hash brown than all that other stuff, and once you move on from self contained foods like that into the burger/sandwich variety there is a lot more to consider. good point. although I would argue in the hash brown case you reach for that bad boy and grab it out

The idea to narratively frame this recap as a press release is straight genius. I was dying pretty much from the jump on this.

yo, The Lyanna Mormont School for Bad Bitches about killed me.  well done.

This is a great point. The pageant we go through every 2 years in order to select who becomes president (I know the presidential term is 4 years but the pageant starts sooo much earlier anymore.) has necessitated this type of behavior. Elections aren’t about who has the best policies. they are about who can get the

Being the best person for the job in your own eyes is a requirement for running for President. as others have pointed out it seems unreasonable to be surprised that a presidential candidate would say something like that.

commented basically the same thing before I realized you said it more concisely.  there is no way eating a hash brown takes more mental attention than shifting a manual transmission.

hash brows are fried potato with a little salt. they are pretty great.

The distinction between shifting gears and taking a bite of a hash brown doesn’t seem obvious to me. I haven’t driven a manual transmission car in like 10 years but I remember it taking at least some mental attention to keep track of shifting properly. not a lot, but for sure more than 0. I would classify the mental

This kind of matches up with what I was thinking. Driving is inherently dangerous and people are notoriously bad at it. These things are true. You have to accept a certain level of risk in order to get on the road at all. even a driver with both hands on the wheel will make mistakes because they are human. and as
