I have driven a lot of BMWs with that gear shifter. And while I’ve never had any really crazy shit happen like rollaways, I have found them to be annoyingly finicky at times—not wanting to go into park right away, not always shifting into reverse or drive when I ask, the beeping warning icons you mentioned, etc.

I remember the good ol’ days when if you crashed you just blamed Pastor Maldonado. Now things are so complicated...

I love that we are in a future now where saying that a car is a '14 and you have to wonder if he means 1914 or 2014. Welcome to the future!

That’s why you don’t close your hand around the crank handle. You only push the crank with an open hand. If your hand is open the kickback just slaps it away.

From what I understand, isn’t the Midget the rebadge, since both it and the Sprite are on a modified version of the Healey Bugeye Sprite chassis?

Lot of people say it was shitty, but I could find ways to have fun in a Smart Roadster.

So what you’re saying is you’d prefer it decaf?

I love old honda bikes (I have 2) but $5K is just too much. Especially considering how much more I would have to spend to un-Cafe the damn thing.

Basically. Id rather deal with my first fuck-up, which is usually only a minor one, compared to the car snapping back around and physics going, “Ha!, Gotcha bitch!” Plus it helps the guy coming up behind you by being predictable.

We have a FFEV lease and we really like it. Saves us a bundle and a lot of time as well.

Skoda does it better, it gives you a choice with the superb twin door, you can use it however you want, it’s a shame they dropped this feature on the new model :(

Wait, no 2017 Fuego?

Oh, and another point... if you check the price from any particular year, these cars went for more like $50k-65k... never $90k, that was S-Class territory. What fakes people out is that inflation was really sharp in those years, so punching a 1980 price into a 1977 inflation calculator can yield some wild results.

I think Mazda would make a good partner. They could use some extra income, make an incredible sedan, and I don't think that many people cross and already have a partnership with FCA. The only issue I see is that they already build a small sedan for Toyota.

Some candidates actually want to become president so they can help people. Trump wants to become president so he can brag about it, put it on his resume, and update his wikipedia page.

I found this article concise, well-organized, and technically accurate, as well as interesting. What the fuck is going on?

Kinda like most of the races in 2015, I guess.

The missing piece: These are *hilarious* to drive. Too much power for the car. Not exactly good, but bad in a really fun way.

...they also leveraged their own domestic wares for some FWD mayhem
