Fair enough.

To be fair though, this particular pursuit was in Houston. They do have several helos. 16 to be exact. 2nd only to LA.

I will say that they were probably trying to get more officers at wherever the stop was than suspects. If they had a report of “a group” of suspects, it would make sense that they would want a larger group of officers when they made the arrests. The easiest way to ensure this is to have the requisite number of units

Hosting a karting event for women is activism.

I know on the car side, there was some talk of the rebate being at the point of sale or shortly thereafter.  Since there is no tax liability requirement this would be technically possible.

The downside of this is that it hits lower income folks really hard.

They appear to be coming around (tectonic plates move too). Some actually went to COP26.  They seem to have adopted the “oil companies are best suited to solve this for us” stance though.

I was able to find 2018 data on this:

I like it.

I am a fan of unions in general. However, I am not a fan of the extra credit for a union-built vehicle. It should be $12.5 for any EV with defined capabilities (min range, etc.). There also shouldn’t be any income cap on who qualifies. If the goal is to get EVs on the road to mitigate a climate crisis, do that.

I saw Ford Galaxy on the list and I thought a 1964 Galaxie Wagon overlander would be right up my alley. Alas, it appears that the Galaxie that I had in mind is not the Galaxy they make a kit for.

I was hoping for something closer to this:

Finally some decent lumbar support in coach!

Navigation systems.

Thanks!

So add 60lb. more batteries...

Got anything to back up this assertion? My understanding from a couple articles in some of my trade rags is the “drive unit” (includes inverter and motor) is more expensive than the battery in the Tesla 3 SR+.

Why pay OTHER people to do that when you can get them to pay YOU to have the privilege?

It’s my understanding that the most expensive part of an modern EV is the inverter/motor unit. If I give up on AWD and accept 2WD and “only” 400 hp, it would seem that I could lose a drive unit for some savings. Now my pack doesn’t need to be able to deliver the current necessary for two inverter/motor units, so I can

If I can get a Rivian with 400 miles of range for $85k that does 3.5 sec to 60, why can’t I get half the acceleration performance for less than $85k?
