Sometimes, in a blue moon, I scroll down on Marvel articles and sigh when MANIMAL isn’t there.

The Jefferson Pierce and Fam show was my favorite part of the episode—thought it was hilarious—but it definitely didn’t jive with the rest of the drama. The first two episodes were breathtaking, though, and I’m hoping the rest of the show lives up to those heights. Grace Choi’s sudden appearance certainly was…
I choose to believe that this is a separate earth where LoT’s “Jax”Jefferson grew up without meeting Martin Stein, or continued life after him, and eventually became Black Lightning after some super lightning serum.
This was very good. I’m on the fence about the costume (Jefferson, it’s still Parliament, no matter how many LEDs you put on it) and I’m a sucker for “old heroes out of retirement” tales. The Pierces have incredible chemistry with each other and it’s just a joy to see a superhero with a successful, interesting and…
First Black hero to code switch? That’s actually really awesome. I don’t think I’ve ever read a comic where that’s been a plot point (or even a highlight). I’ve got to track down some old Black Lightning comics— the first I ever saw of him was when he was in President Luthor’s Cabinet.
Was this the most inconsequential and/or predictable episode of The Flash so far? Or what?
I am beyond stoked for this. And while I’ll be disappointed to NOT see Black Lightning in the Arrowverse, I’m pretty sure it’s the right decision. Looking forward to it and praying it sticks the landing.
During the trip back to the cruiser from Canto Blight, Poe desperately tells Finn and Rose that they’re filling up the transports, and can’t they get there faster? Finn’s like, we’re so close! Poe’s all, you got the master codebreaker?? Finn says, we got A codebreaker...
I love that the Arrow theme played while Young Stein was aiming the toy bow in the shop.
Alright, who else immediately Googled Beebo, thinking they’d somehow missed a real honest-to-the-one-true-God holiday sensation in ‘92?
Oh well, pobody’s nerfect!
Seriously! As I saw someone comment over at Avocado, there’s a middle ground between “killing your mortal enemy” and “letting him go to murder a couple thousand more people.”
Hey Sam, Fa and Hua actually are the same surname—Hua is the Mandarin pronunciation of 花, whereas Fa is the Cantonese (and, allegedly, original) pronunciation of Mulan’s surname. We can probably assume they’re changing the romanization to Hua for the mainland Chinese, mostly Mandarin-speaking, market.
I intentionally made my statement present tense ;)
You’d think they’d try any one of the other 51 Earths after it became clear this one had a few too many superheroes.
Where was her pot helmet?
Whaaaaaaaat. I didn’t realize it was more than just a Ray series. Thanks!
That penultimate shot of this incredible gathering of Earths’ (plural!) mightiest heroes struck me to my core. It’s not cool to be sentimental, but in light of Citizen Cold’s overwhelmingly genuine persona, I think it’s OK to let loose a little.
Was it too much to ask for Uncle Sam, Doll Man, Phantom Lady and the rest of the Freedom Fighters? :(
I know I’ll be straight stealing it for any speech I’ll give in the future.
