I think a lot of people get in to it after buying a new car, thinking they’ll make up the car payment + some profit, and then sell it in a couple years. Obviously being in good condition is key to this strategy.

Exactly. The very nature of racing means that the drivers only care about one thing: winning. They don’t care how good their car sounds or how their hair looks. There’s no style points (well, at least in most racing). You don’t get a bonus for best sounding car.

Racing doesn’t care about feel. Racing only cares about time. Faster race cars are always better race cars. 

I like seeing the new innovation that is happening in the racing world. It’s okay to mix things up a bit.
