Yamcha’s great but he seems to dominate on the ground while having limited options for air combos compared the rest of the cast. For that reason he’s probably not S-tier.
Pictured: Yamcha warming up on the pitcher’s mound.
The worst is when a character dominates in a tournament and suddenly everyone is like “Look look OP OP!” Or... the person controlling them was better then the others.
Actually it wasn’t implied in the series at all, the idea didn’t come into being until decades later when Akira Toriyama dropped a bunch of information on the androids like the twins names.
I’m by no means a pro (I’m like 60-18 in ranked matches) but another character who kicks surprising ass is Yamcha. He’s fast as hell (not Gotenks fast but still) and can string together some decent, hard hitting combos.
Is he going to win the nerfstakes? Namely the first character the internet complains about incessantly until nerfed and they move on to the next character to complain about at which point the cycle is alive until the game isn’t.
Seeing the headline, I thought this was going to be about Yamcha. He actually seems to be really good in this game.
I basically just use it as a guideline but I claimed it as my own too. He’s not getting a dime from me. I use beef stock instead of chicken broth and add black and pinto beans.
Or maybe Stephen can give it to his baby twins and see what happens? After playing with it, btw, I can confirm that this thing is wild. I loved the piano.
I moved my Wii U into my home gym (to play games while I work out). The second time I used it I dropped the gamepad onto my tile floor from about four feet up. The pad bounced a couple of times making a lot of loud scary noises. I picked it up, it was perfectly fine. I am pretty sure they built that thing to survive a…
You can play the Wii U without a gamepad, but it requires the pad for updates and a few other things. Assuming Nintendo never updates the system again, I don’t think the pad will be needed in that sense again. I still think it’s ridiculous that the Wii U needs the gamepad to do things like watch Netflix (like, no, I…
The fact Mario Maker wasn’t ported to Switch at launch still boggles my mind.
Late in the Wii U’s life, and continuing through the Switch launch (which I got) and through a few months ago, I would keep thinking about buying one. I really, really wanted to get Mario Maker (the 3DS version is too cut down), as well as the Mario platformer and a few other titles.
One good teaching of the Switch performance: this craze to release everything around the holiday season is stupid. Proof right here: if you have a great product, it will sell regardless of whether you release it in November or March.
My phone is always online, where in heck do you live?
It’s probably going to be free, so no buy from anyone.
But Nintendo must be thinking they can kill it even more, since they’re saying that they’re releasing the NES Classic to literally garner more interest. Just seems like odd reasoning to me.
Wouldn’t a better way to garner interest in the Switch be to give all Switch owners an “NES Classic” and “SNES Classic” app on the Switch itself? Hey, instead of buying these cutsie one-truck ponies, get a Switch and we’ll throw those games in for free!
