I can, but is exhausting teaching morons like yourself basic economics, so I decided to not even try anymore.

Van Gundy is always fantastic on the Lowe Post and way better than his television appearances. Doesn’t matter though, I want him and Mark Jackson, and Reggie Miller, and Chris Webber all fired off in a rocket to the furthest reaches of space. Each year they ruin playoff basketball for me.

Enjoy always being poor.

Consoles only accounted for $8.3 billion (and this is total revenue, so is buoyed by micro-transactions, loot boxes, etc.).

I started from when game prices stagnated, which was the launch of the Xbox 360. But yes, our hobby definitely has the lowest barrier of entry than it has ever had.

Thank you for the links.

Lololololololol. Dipshit, you don’t know the difference between quantity sold and revenue made, and I am done trying to explain extremely basic things to someone who clearly has no idea what they are talking about but can’t admit they don’t know what they are talking about. That 70 billion dollar increase is due to

The current console market is about 50% smaller than the previous console market world wide. So, while more people across the planet have the potential of buying a console/game, that doesn’t mean there are more consoles actually sold.

People keep trying to say that game sales are higher than they have ever been. Can you show me proof of this? (NPD doesn’t release numbers so it is almost impossible to actually figure out, so I am wondering if everyone that says this has some sort of source).

Yes, in an effort to increase their profit the companies have looked to remove unnecessary parts of manufacturing that some customers enjoyed. However, I take issue with your idea that the cost of the game should be determined by the budget, and the fact that it is not is somehow unique to the game industry.

So you weren’t done embarrassing yourself after all. Let me use movies again to illustrate how dumb you are (which I only rely on because the concepts are transferable, but unlike games we have exact dollar figures).

Then let me drag you some more.

So, you are just going to completely ignore the part where I tore your previous assertion to shreds and would like instead to focus on an entirely new argument? No thanks, I have no interest in this moving goal posts tactic.

Yea, but a lot of people that do those things blame it on being bullied!

I don’t think your analysis is necessarily off (it is difficult to know for sure), but my argument isn’t that they shouldn’t release a smaller game on multiple platforms, it is that I would understand if they decided it made financial sense not to.

I don’t think it is the lack of bullying that is the problem, it is the constant pandering that has resulted in the sheer vileness and entitlement that comes out of the community.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but:

Yes, I hate factual arguments that use objective math and calculations too. It is much better to posit completely unprovable hypotheticals!

I’ve heard that argument a lot, and while there is probably something to it.

A lot of business in every sector mismanage their money, this is in no way unique.
