Because when the kid turns 18, they are able to use these services without asking mom. The agreement is with the mother, not the child, even though this decision affects them. And what about the child’s children? It’s unrealistic to expect the agreement to stand across generations.

They weren’t just saying ‘Wow! she looks so different, I wonder if she got work done?’ they were calling her stupid and insulting her intelligence because she changed her appearance. Why is it appropriate to tie a woman’s intellect to her decisions on her physical look?

My favourite Renee Zellweger story is two people doing the exact same thing in a restaurant about her appearance and dress sense and so on except in German. It was even worse because they knew she was there.

I honestly think she was just Botoxed to hell in those weird pics so she couldn’t scrunch her eyes closed as much as we were used to seeing. Plus the less than flattering make-up and weirdly ungroomed eyebrows...it all added up to a strange effect on someone who was usually so polished and distinctive looking.
