It’s like earning success in real life...

I had a coworker who swore by Rao’s Homemade, but it was up to 3x the cost of other sauces. I got a jar when it went on sale once, and it was... fine?

    1. You’re SO RIGHT

So this was inspired by that dog lady, right?

When my roommate makes pizza, he uses tomato paste instead of sauce. Thoughts?

A few weeks ago, everyone on my block woke up to what looked exactly like a parking ticket on their car. It was actually an advertisement for a “we buy houses” scam. I can’t say it happens regularly enough that it’s worth putting in an article, but it was such a huge dick move that I felt like I had to mention.

My high school had a social studies teacher who did a whole thing about how capitalism is unethical and unsustainable, which was great and all, but then I still had to go and be a member of a capitalist society.

I’ve gotten a comped drink one (1) time, when there was a long line to order drinks and the bartender (unprompted) gave it to me as thanks for not making a big deal out of it. It’s good to know that it probably didn’t come out of her paycheck.

Now I can finally stop reading this! Cheers!

I can’t seem to get the Assassin’s Creed deal. Might be sold out.

Go stand in the hall and come back when you can participate in the class.

Literally no one is forcing you to be a landlord, so...yeah, sell it off to someone who actually needs it.

In some instances, you may even be that colleague and without knowing it.

My greatest pet peeve is “flavored sparkling water”. It’s just diet soda! If they add any type of sweetener at all it’s soda! Why can’t I buy my flavorless bubble water in peace!?

Vermont is actually quite liberal, except about guns.

I run D&D on the last Thursday of the month and I run a different game on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. I was looking at my calendar and for some reason I got the idea that these 2 days were somehow in the same week this month. (They aren’t.)

Shoutout for the Hadestown soundtrack. Nice.

My area (Philly) is $53.00 per month for single adults, and “adult” starts at 24. There are definitely comparable gyms around that are cheaper. But ya know, support community organizations and all that.

I’m definitely a better citizen for having my 4 (read: 5.5) year liberal arts degree, but I can’t say it’s been all that useful to me personally. So... [shrug]

Around here we have enough fully grown adults trying to scrape by waitressing (etc). that employers can basically have their pick, and they tend to not want to deal with the extra restrictions that come from hiring someone under 18. “Just get a job for extra cash” is a total fantasy for the kids in my area. Good luck
