3 was my favorite on release because it felt like such a huge blockbuster for Nintendo. When I replayed the Trilogy I found that my previous least favorite, Prime 2, was no my favorite. It was just so... unique. Screw that final boss though. Emperor Ing was the worst.

Just because a series has always done something doesn’t mean it can’t be overdone, or be a problem in other ways, or have been a bad idea from the start, or have become a bad idea with modern systems.

It can still be a problem even if it has been in the previous games.
