Seriously. Weirdly reminds me of Neal Stephenson's Anathem.

A scene where OldKatara goes down in a blaze (…wave?) of glory would be truly awesome.

Fair enough. I guess I just feel like the stakes are higher…because she's a girl? That seems wrong.

I love how they subvert all the usual tropes when a girl is the main character on a show. The fact that Korra was all, no can do on the makeover front (and Bolin totally wanting one), and then her and Asami driving racecars kind of made my sad little life.

I thought Katara was supposed to die after the birth of her 4th great-grandchild (according to "The Fortuneteller")?

I wonder if hers would be a reverse Zuko sort of arc where she seems good, is actually bad, but then second season grows up without her dad 's money and comes back to the good side to fight season 2 baddie. Maybe that's just a half-reverse-Zuko.

It's hella new, but Ane Brun's "Do You Remember" is my favorite upbeat song about the end of a relationship maybe ever.

I haven't seen that crowd in action, so now I'm just curious.
Those gloves make it ridiculously easy to take out the metal bending police, too, which is a pretty big deal. And maybe Lin Beifong could oversee the changes that would need to be made in order to deal with this new threat, but it looks like Tarrlok is aiming to get rid of her. Which seems hilariously dumb - why would…
I've been wondering who's going to voice grown up Aang; is that information already out there?
