I can totally see her wanting to at the very least play as rough as the Wolfbats had been. Not necessarily cheating, per se, but exerting more force, etc.

So when do I get to see a poodle pony?

The only problem I have with that theory is that at one point, he says "always a pleasure, Lin" which comes off awfully sarcastic and dickish for someone who seems pretty straightforwardly decent.

I have to say though, ATLA had a far larger scope: Aang genuinely had to save the world. The stakes are smaller in LoK, so little things like parental mementos would also have less symbolism within the world of the show.

@Hati: She'd scream in his face and the sound waves would bounce right off it, of course.

Pema's the one who gave Lin those face scars, obviously.

This was a wonderful analysis. I loved this episode because they took that horrible love triangle trope and had folks deal with it in a human, realistic way. I have no problem with Mako, so I guess I'll be avoiding the tumblr tags thus week; my feeling re: him and Bolin is that Bolin is genuinely naive and immature

I actually thought they handled that perfectly - like we all know they're going to meet up in the finale, so you don't see the match at all, just the (scary-ass) results. These guys are making the most amazing choices, I swear.

Don't know what the avatar-version of goth is, but Jinora's halfway there.

I didn't orgasm but then I had to watch it in 3D and I can't concentrate when I have glasses on over my glasses.

Might be that this is a more pragmatic Arya, who knows that with Tywin's arrival, things got a whole lot better for her and her friends. Killing him would undermine all of that, and as much as they might have deviated from bookArya, maintaining the status quo in this instance is probably something anyone would do.

Amon is Zuko's mom. You heard it here first.

"So, I hear you're dirt poor!"

Between that and all the damn spoilers, I had to put that shit in the fridge this week.

Really, her name is Broomhilda? Talk about a slave name.

I thought the whole impetus of Bryke creating Korra was that they wanted to do a more Avatar Kyoshi-like character. No idea where I read or heard that, but the similarities are definitely there.

I love that she's fearless. I cannot get over it, every time I (re)watch the episodes, how she just barges into situations with complete confidence that she'll be ok, because she knows she can protect herself. A friend of mine was good friends with some kind of tae kwon do master of sorts who was female, and she

I went all Dune with this and figured that super advanced waterbenders could basically keep themselves from aging. Like Avatar Kyoshi..?

It sounds like all you'd need is an entity old enough to teach you - the lion turtle's been around that long, so if Amon somewhere along the way ran into an old-as-balls spirit, then maybe he actually did learn how to energybend. I mean, Iroh had been to the spirit world, so it's not like only the avatar can get

Is "The Blue Spirit" filler? I can't make up my mind. That's my go-to, when I need a quick shot of TLA, and the one I tell people to watch when I'm preaching the Gospel of Aang.
