I don’t disagree with that assessment at all, I would just argue that war, even the Iraq War specifically, can be morally ambiguous and the Death Penalty, especially in how it is carried out, is not (or shouldn’t be).

Yeah, I wondered if that was even true as I was typing it.

I’m not exactly sure how I’d feel about the State executing people we knew with 100% certainty were guilty - I probably wouldn’t feel too much about it at all really (though there is something to be said about the idea that a brutal State creates brutal citizens) - but yeah, I hear ya.

I mean, it’s hard to argue with “everybody dies”. I get that on the scale of atrocities a country like America commits, prisoner executions may seem small just going by the numbers, but the State mostly avoids straight-up murdering people. Wars are theoretically self-defense and the collateral damage is accidental (I

Stories like this are why, as much as I don’t feel bad about actual murderers dying, I could never support the Death Penalty. The chance of *one* innocent person being executed by the State should be too much for a moral society to bear.

Here’s what sucks about you, man: I’ve been frequenting political comment sections since they started and in every one there’s always at least a couple guys just like you who say the exact same kind of shit and are intentionally obtuse and argue in bad faith and get off on the negative attention they receive. And what

Yeah I just looked through some episode lists and I remember every episode from Season 14 and 15 but after that it I got fed up and it gets very sporadic. I haven’t watched a new episode in at least 5 years. And just a few in the 5 years before that. But the show totally informed my sense of humour. And a few years

I would suggest there’s still a bit of that old Simpsons magic in Season 8, but other than that, you’re good.

Thank you for providing me with a perspective on this issue that is sorely lacking on this site. I had not done my own deep dive into the situation and was pretty much accepting at face value the idea that Native Americans were *generally* kinda pissed at Warren, which I could accept if not entirely understand. You’ve

It’s made me realize that in the one in a billion chance that I was in a position to know Trump, I’d pretend to be another loyal sycophant for awhile before I spit in his face.

Nice try, but your point is pretty much irrelevant when half of your prisoners are incarcerated for unjust/immoral reasons.

The Criminal Justice System is one of the most important and delicate elements of a democracy and to have any component of it be for-profit undermines the entire system.

Agree, but with the addendum that we’ve been “at this point” for at least a year now.

lol, I was waiting for some kind of sarcasm to show you were in on the joke that your post is, but...nope, you’re just stupid.

Disagrees with him on issues around race? Pffft. I guess cuz he pays his slaves.

And if so, why didn’t you set it on fire and barricade the door?

Oh, fuck, you again. Would you fuck off with this? This response SUCKS okay? It makes you look foolish to keep regurgitating this line like you think you’re REALLY getting people with it. Please stop - I know you’re one of the good ones but this (and ordering people to dismiss their troll) really fucking sucks, man.

Jesus Christ. In a world that makes sense maybe you’d be right. In this Twilight Zone fucking Bizzaroverse the crazy fucktard president who should never be re-elected wins by a landslide.

    You’re wrong.

    You’re right.
