CHRW, the university station in my town, is open format. It all depends on the DJ, but they play lots of newer stuff in general.

The local modern rock station managed to turn itself into a quasi-classic rock station simply by barely changing anything on its fucking rotation. Once they started playing "Give it away", they never really stopped.

I figure that I'll do exactly that when I get the chance and then see how I feel about trying the others. I've heard enough about God Emperor that I kind of have to see that for myself.

Secret Squirrel! Wait.

Gag me with a spoon, right?

I read the first three. I may return to them someday, because the first one was really important to me as a kid and I remember very interesting things about the other two.

I… did not read those Dune books. I think I may have followed an instinct about where to stop with that series.

Long before Robert Jordan died, I liked to imagine that he would end the Wheel of Time series with a short epilogue depicting a young boy named Randy waking up in a modern suburban home and thinking about the crazy dream he just had. That would've been one for the ages.

Ahhh, I get where you're coming from. I haven't heard the term used that way, but I see what you mean. I wonder if that would fall within a wider umbrella of "anti-comedy" or if this is just a matter of competing usages.

Yep.

We must be thinking of very different definitions of anti-comedy. There are things on Andre's show that I would use as textbook examples (the episode with "George Clooney" attempting to do standup comes to mind). It gets comedy from subverting standard comic forms and setups and such. What would you call

It's anti-comedy, which appears to be very much a matter of individual taste. I thought the few episodes I saw were hilarious. They have short run times, so I'd suggest just trying a couple at random to see if it works for you.

Brandon Lee could have just done martial arts films for the rest of his career (had he lived) and I would have be very happy over that. He was a great onscreen fighter just coming into his own. There's an alternate universe where he fights Jet Li in the latter's first American role.

Did you ever hear that Devo cover of "Head Like A Hole"? I quite like it, though it's more or less exactly what you'd expect.

I rather liked that one. It was a good, nasty little adventure.

Sorry for the late reply. It's been a busy week.

No thoughts at all, just a hairpiece!

A+ in College Shenanigans to all of you. That crusty old dean had better watch his back!

I don't know if this is TMI, but I've wanted to try receiving a facial for a while now (haven't had the chance). The appeal for me isn't about degradation and having that as a motivation for the other guy would honestly be a turn-off in this specific circumstance; it's such an uncreative and nonsensical form of it

For the love of Christ, please tell me that you made a pun after you hit him.
