That's not really how I would describe him either: the OP used quotation marks around hero. I didn't bother but was responding in context to that.

Thanks. That was definitely everything I wanted it to be, and more.
I thought it was fitting. Dylan as a hero is definitely one way of reading it, and I wouldn't say you're wrong, but I saw it somewhat differently.
MILES AND MILES better than BSG's ending, no worries.
"Norma is dead!"
I would have really enjoyed the S1 credit visuals mashed with the Perfect Strangers theme song. I hope some inspired/bored youtuber gets on that soon.
That bald cap messes with my depth perception, or something. Every time Bald Ewan is on screen I feel like it's greenscreen.
Thank you! That explains a lot - I was also wondering what happened, so I must have also missed that scene. The episode restarted (early, I thought, but I thought maybe the tv guide was wrong). I went to take a shower and when I came back they were STILL grilling that guy about the phone that wouldn't take messages. So…
Honestly, probably yes?
In earlier posts for this ep I did talk about how Dylan's in an impossible situation. I still think that. My point isn't that Dylan is "guilty", more that he bears some degree of responsibility about later events - and in specific context to Emma , owed better to his partner in life about what he suspected about her…
My memory is hazy, but I don't think so. I think Norman pushed him out & he walked away instead of backing Romeros's play to institutionalize Norman behind Norma's back. I'll rewatch when the show's all done though, likely after the glut of shows that are coming this spring/summer.
They were great last year as rivals for their dad's praise. Great to see them working together now. I guess dad retired or died.
No - I looked but the fine print on the auction website adds some processing and shipping fees that just make the whole thing too much trouble for me, and too pricey. Fun to look but I'll stick to browsing.
I have to disagree. Dylan knew for a year two years that Audrey was probably dead and said nothing. That would not have brought Audrey back, but it is beyond odd, and perhaps unforgivable, that they got married and had a baby with this awful secret between them.
Ha ha. Did you see that ad for the prison affair/escape movie? It looks so cheap, like it was filmed in somebody's basement
I just had a really morbid thought: Norman/Dylan/Alex all head into the woods to find Norma's body, which is in the woods near the lake Dylan finds Caleb's mostly charred remains near the same lake. Dylan, Norman and Alex all die out there in those woods, the final resting place for the tragically messed-up…
Didn't Chick set Caleb on fire? I think he gave him a Viking funeral. I'm not sure there is anything left to find, but I can't imagine they end the show without Dylan finding out about Caleb.
As much as it pains me to say this, I basically agree. Madeline is right that Dylan knew (or suspected with a degree of certainty, at least) that Norman was dangerous. He's not blameless. And both Dylan and Romero have killed several people and basically gotten away with it. Nobody's innocent here.
I wonder if that's where they're going - the "Norman is institutionalized" ending. I guess there'll be nothing close to a happy ending but I'm hoping Norman dies. Let Dylan and Emma move on and close the book.
Olivia Cooke was on fire tonight. That scene between Emma and Norman was everything.
