I agree the amnesia is dumb. It doesn't make sense and doesn't make his life between the movie and this show make sense. The only thing I can think is that maybe he has to make the conscious choice to be evil, as opposed to just doing and being who he is trained to be. Just spit-balling.

Some Jesuit assassins would improve things immensely

He's the EmoChrist.

"Dour" is the perfect descriptor. As I mentioned in the Bates Motel thread, watching this after that is a total downer. I'll probably give this a few episodes, but will probably catch them on demand.

So I guess Emma never gets it back.

I decided I'll watch in the replay as I wanted to give this Damien thing a whirl. Next week I won't make that mistake.

It could get better. I just mean I'm finding it pretty bland, and it is tonally mismatched with the sometimes-crazy, sometimes-funny vibe of Bates.

Yes the trailer hinted as much.

Also, this Damien show that's on right now is a total buzzkill. I miss the days when they didn't try to pair other shows with Bates Motel, and you could watch the episode again almost immediately. Once for fun, once for details.

I think it'll be the finale or close. They're gonna milk the Romero/Norma romance before they pull they rug out from us.

Grade: A-

"The practice of quoting out of context (sometimes referred to as "contextomy" and quote mining), is an informal fallacy and a type of false attribution in which a passage is removed from its surrounding matter in such a way as to distort its intended meaning."

Me too, actually. I think it is because I can see these writers drawing on symmetry with the comics if it's the other half of that particular relationship that doesn't make it. The characters that arguably would be as big a loss as Glenn are Maggie, Carol and Daryl.

I would be surprised if it is Glenn. I do like the way that there's a solid handful of characters that could easily take Glenn's place at this point. Even if it is ultimately Glenn, there's enough doubt the answer isn't a foregone conclusion.

The dog can have an eye patch too. They can call him Pirate.

This show needs a talking dog.

Sometimes the bear eats you, and a ton of other people, and gets freakishly large.

I don't remember EliotNet either. Too many idiocies to remember as they really piled on the dumb in the last four seasons.

ugh now I guess I have to catch up. I've about 3-4 behind.

I don't think I have either, but like a few people mentioned it's one of those "in hindsight…" things for me, like when a certain character dies it marks a tonal shift that the show doesn't quite recover from, or just becomes a slightly different show. Sometimes for the bad (Rita on Dexter), sometimes not (Jimmy on BE)
