TEN FRIENDS

It was a solid introduction to everyone except Sembene. It's a good foundation for next year.

I was sort of taken aback that the death Frankenstein can't forgive is Van Helsing's. Poor Proteus, we hardly knew ye. I will light faerie lights in your honour, if no one else will.

I read somewhere long ago that US distributors would eschew Canadian shows set in Canadian cities, and if they were ambiguous about setting they were more likely to get picked up. That's definitely changing, along with more interest in international fare in general, etc. But maybe there a residual and lingering

I also get the feeling L8 is protecting him for more important roles in the future, so that also fits with the actor being unavailable at the moment. Sonya shooed him away when she was planning some things earlier in the season.

I'm watching solely for Lee Pace, but it's pretty boring. I'd rather see catch a good gig on an HBO show, or something. Or a spot on Hannibal, as Twilight Sparkle has mentioned.

I can't imagine they showrunners wouldn't want Julian/Theseus around, but I just think the actor has been busy. He's been recurring on "The 100" and also filming a movie, so I think they had to write around that. The 100 has been renewed, so I'm not sure what that means for Julian.

Thanks! Completely missed that detail.

Halt and Catch Hep-V.

Question: On Wikipedia, multiple versions of Keira and Alec are being referred to by colour: Green Keira/Alec (the now dead ones from this timeline), Red for the ones that travelled in from the "week ahead" timeline. Is there any in-show reason they're doing this, that I just missed - or is someone just being cute à

She's feeling much better now.

No, and I think I read Turn was recently renewed. That's not a sure sign Halt & Catch Fire won't be, but I'm not sure they will renew two middling shows.

I still basically disagree but I'm enjoying the conversation. This is definitely why I'd love to have this show reviewed weekly - watching a show in isolation (or only with people that agree with you) can be really different than hashing things out with people who might get entirely different things out of the show.

I think it must boil down to whether the page hits translate into enough advertising revenue to justify paying someone to review it.

I could be wrong, but I thought there was something explicitly about Keira. Alec1 almost told her about it, but got distracted, then timelines changed and they never went back to it.

I definitely found the first few episodes awkward with exposition and actors getting used to their roles, etc. In retrospect, no more than other shows, but at the time it really annoyed me.

I do think the jury is still out on what was up with Old Man Sadler from the original timeline. I remember he sent a message to the S1 Young Man Sadler, about Keira. But I don't remember if we ever found out what that was about, I don't think we did - but I have definitely missed a few minutes here/there.

Agreed. I've seen a few complaints in the comments here and there, about people wanting this show reviewed, so I think the interest is likely there. I think if everyone played nice with potential spoilers it would be fine.

I can't personally agree there was ever supposed to be a big revelation to the audience that they were cheering for the wrong side, knowingly or otherwise. Keira, sure, but not necessarily the people watching her at home. I actually I agree that would be a very fun premise and a great show, I just don't think it was

Hopefully. I'm on the Showcase schedule and I'd certainly pop in even a couple of weeks later, since this is really the only place I contribute online in any regular way. It's definitely a good candidate for episode reviews and good comments/discussion, since it deals with broader issues as well as just delivers on
