But to clarify, I believe in the spambot's holy pursuit of dolla dolla billz, ya'll.

Hellz, yeah.
I just realized that the spambot is actually replying to the title of the episode.
I think at the time I was more like "Ha ha, BURN!", but point taken.
Hey in the what, now?
I know. I don't like it either. But if they don't at least address the fact there's a demon cure, that's some lazy writing.
When they release the DVD set, instead of including the episode in the slot for episode 9x20, it should just be a 45-minute video with the text "this page left intentionally blank".
Buffy Season 6 is a great comparison. I think it was executed much better in that show, but I'm willing to see what the do with it in S10.
I'm way cool with Demon Dean, evil or good. At least it is interesting. And Ackles is probably thankful for the opportunity to explore some new territory.
I *just* spec'd this above somewhere too. I don't think it's so unlikely. And I think even if that particular set of trials is too late, he could probably redo them.
I always liked that line where he fakes Dean out when he first turns: "I was just…messing with you."
This is what I think too, really. In retrospect, they may have even created this whole "demon cure" thing to give themselves an out if they ever wanted to make one of the brothers a demon.
It's his sweet, sweet revenge on us all.
He's not going to be a demon forever
They could be like Wile E. Coyote and Sam the Sheepdog:
I really miss making fun of Dexter.
But just before that:
That's how I thought Dean would demonize, for sure: Win the fight, but get damaged completely and go black-eyed.
Dean being a demon that hunts demons
I have to admit, watching Dean get the shit kicked out of him was pretty entertaining, even though I generally like the character. But he uses violence against Sam a little too much, and it felt pretty good, in a karmic scales kind of way.
