I would have to rewatch to be certain , but I’m pretty sure one of the early conversations between Eli and May May this season mentioned Peter recently getting out of prison and soon after her boys left her to go live with him. 

Fanwank seems to be that he is a Hardy, likely Joe.

Curious if this is a one-and-done review or if we’ll be getting coverage of the whole season.

There are officially 9 episodes, so expect the finale next week. In certain interviews people involved with the show have alluded to 10 episodes. Those are probably mistakes but there are rumours brewing there might be a secret 10th episode, like a bonus at Christmas or something. Who knows.

I think Ben’s inability to help doesn’t really have anything to do with a supposed vagina allergy or anything as reductive as “ewww, labour!” Coach is in the middle of a major depressive episode and is actively having hallucinations of an alternate life. Starting to think Ben’s going to opt out of life by his own hand…

At the very least, they seem to want us to think there is something up with the replacement therapist. Super creepy tone of voice, not seeing her face, etc. The face thing could be as simple as the same actress not being an available again, but who knows. 

It reminds me a bit of Breaking Bad, although Barry is obviously more of a comedy than Breaking Bad ever was. But Breaking Bad had a lot of comedic moments and levity in the first few seasons and became increasingly bleak throughout the years. Plus, that last photo up above with the hidden barcode/whatever means she is some sort of lab rat. I will probably watch for Ritter but I hope there’s at least some sort of twist on the theme. 

It was a different room and they looked like paramedics? I thought maybe she was having a flashback to a near OD in her past. Or a premonition of how she dies if she doesn’t get her shit together.
