Indeed, this is the only version worth watching.

It seems like a Killing Eve + The Blacklist sandwich.
I thought Eli possibly seemed subtly guilty/ashamed when Junior was talking about how his dad just skipped town. Maybe Eli is involved with the dad’s death, or at the very least it seems like he could know the truth of that situation.
I had a thought that the frozen, dry cave might provide ideal conditions for mummification. I mean, even if that isn’t true in real life it seems like the type of thing the show/writers would lean into. Perhaps the bodies are the trophies and that’s why he got so upset with the recent victim fighting back and the…
I havent watched this show in years but I hope the arrival of Sabrina means the eventual final season of Riverdale is an adaptation of Afterlife with Archie. I would happily come back for that.
I saw this at TIFF and really enjoyed it. Although I am a sucker for any sort of Christmas movie that leans into the macabre. Between this one and Riders of Justice with Mads Mikkelson, I’ve been able to add two good really films to my dark Christmas movie rotation.
Some other reality/timeline in our multiverse is going to get a great Swamp Thing/Stargirl crossover next season.
Re: Cameron’s allegiance and moral compass: I guess it might depend on what his grandparents know about his dad’s death. Mike might be in trouble for real.
Yes. Oh, your respective power sets seems coincidentally identical? Sure, Jan.
I had a similar thought re: reactions to Eclipso. I wondered what his reaction (and effects on his powers) might be if Courtney had said something like she pitied and/or felt bad for him, instead of the hatred.
Re: the stray observation: I thought Sylvester was just tracking down Pat by way asking the ex-wife where he might be. I hadn’t considered anything weird or mysterious was happening.
The costuming of the Helix Institute staff, especially Nurse Love, was delightfully anachronistic, in the vintage of old-timey orphanage. I loved how Courtney and Pat didn’t even seem to notice.
I thought maybe The Shade or McNider, eventually released from that dark realm, might intentionally become the host and then kill themselves. This would save the kids from having to do it. A bit dark maybe but it has already been a dark season.
My early reading of it so far is that Edge is not “possessed” but an actual Kryptonian who arrived similarly to Superman and Supergirl, but we’ll see. Unsure if “brother” is literal or just something Kryptonians might call their comrades.
I thought maybe the tremor had something to do with the other team and the drilling for the Galanthi-related rescue/reconnaissance? Who knows.
I hadn’t heard of Oslo before you mentioned it but it definitely looks worth a watch. I did see he’s got an upcoming lead in a series where he plays Tom Ripley, which could be a fun role for him. I’m interested but wary as it is on Showtime in the US and this makes me afraid that 1) it’s a Dexter clone of sorts that…
No disrespect meant to Tom Riley’s Augie, but I can’t help thinking his part was made with Andrew Scott in mind. His perfect storm of awkwardness and nervous energy seems a natural fit for Augie’s mannerisms.
I think the triangle might be Lana, Kyle, and Edge in an indecent proposal kind of way. Or I feel like Kyle might not survive the first season.
For sure, I just meant with Legacies and the pending Boys spin-off it that in a saner world the idea might be temporarily played out or “taken”. But who am I kidding - with like 20 superhero/graphic novel shows on currently, what’s a handful of shows about young supes in training.
I really hope they avoid it as well. Too much MOTW is tedious enough, but the “all local powers have the same source” thing just kills any interest for me. As mediocre as Edge is right now as a villain, I hope they are leaning more to him having a cohesive master plan and building a private army instead of half the…
