Of course, Delta Gamma is part of Lambda 10, and one of the sororities that encourages lesbians to join, on a national level (http://anchorsandsunshine.tumblr.com/... - that's in South Carolina!) and this woman is a twit.

I'm queer AND I'm a Delta Gamma (from another university, obviously). This girl's going to be so disappointed when she realizes that the gays have infiltrated sororities— including the ones with customized Lilly Pulitzer prints!
Ditto to what everyone else is saying about this girl being a homophobic idiot.
As a Delta Gamma, this is disgusting. First, sororities aren't a fucking tea group for you to mingle with boys and wear adorable Lilly Pullitzer things. Second, it takes a lot more than one motivated girl to get a charter on a college campus, and the fact that she thinks sororities are something she can put together…
I'm a Delta Gamma, and I'm really fucking offended by this. Seriously. Fuck this shit. What this woman is doing is NOT in the spirit of the sorority. Hello - our motto is "Do Good." I hope that nationals will see this email and nip starting this chapter in the bud.
Ha, I'm a graduate student at Sarah Lawrence and the students are in a little bit of a tizzy because the school now has division 3 athletics and now, "there are bros on campus".
Does DG know she is doing all of this? You can't start a sorority chapter w/out the OK from the International, your local Panhellenic, and the school. I'd think that DG and the school wouldn't be cool with having a "straights only" discriminatory chapter. I dont think this is going anywhere.
You can't just decide to start a chapter of DG. Also, you sound like a bitch and you can't sit with us. DG doesn't discriminate (unless you need to be cunt punted.)
For what it's worth, excluding gay women is clearly against DG rules, and hopefully the national org wouldn't let this woman even get close to starting a chapter after this. (see page 129). Also, weekly photo shoots? Kids these days...
As a human being...a Delta Gamma... and a straight female... I am offended and just horrified~
As a DG, I have to apologize for the comments you heard. At my chapter, race/ethnicity was a non-issue in choosing new members and given that it's 2013, it shouldn't be an issue at ANY chapter.
Tina Fey: "The definition of a 'crazy' woman is one who keeps talking when no one wants to fuck her anymore."
I really appreciate and respect your points here, and thank you for taking the time to make them. All I really mean, by any of this, is that some families have some basic standards of behavior they find appropriate. It is respectful in a family setting to adhere to those rules. It is this girl's right to dress however…
I was being dramatic to try to make my point, and I meant no offense. My grandmother was a snob. She lived a miserable life, rejected by her wealthy father for being the daughter if his pre-millions wife and then left by her cheating husband all while she was disabled. But she had her pride about certain things. She's…
You are right that teenagers will buy their own clothing and will dress however they want, and any attempt to "forbid" clothing is doomed to failure. Teenagers will always find a way around rules, I know I was a pretty darn clever teenager. Hence what this guy did. He can't force her not to dress like that, but he can…
Marial arts is a great confidence building tool. But let's not kid ourselves. Even with martial arts if you are a 110 pound 14 year old girl, you are not going to be able to overpower most grown men or boys. But it is true that wearing the "right" clothes won't protect a girl from sexual violence. It won't prevent…
Not when you're subjecting yourself to the majority of the embarrassment, and her shame is only by proxy. I see it as similar to what Barack Obama told his daughters about tattoos. "Sure, you can get one when you're old enough. But me and your mother are getting matching tattoos then, and we'll be sure to show your…
He looks pretty good in those.
