Korea has like 55,000 artillery and rocket pieces along the DMZ, Iron Dome is not made to intercept anything even approaching that number, it would be swarms of 1000s of artillery shells. Also keep in mind each Tamir interceptor costs like $60k and they are fired in salvos at a single target…

NK isn’t really a threat to the world, but with conventional weapons, they still pose a huge threat to South Korea. North Korea would lose, but not before destroying / killing a lot of South Koreans.

The F-16 was originally selected over the YF-17 Cobra (which later evolved into the F/A-18) in the Lightweight Fighter competition. The Air Force wanted a cheaper, more maneuverable fighter than the new F-15. The F-20 fully and completely out F-16ed the F-16, and was deemed to be too good to permit their export.
