She will be joining Alanis King at Business Insider. I just subscribed because of it.

Stay Fancy Kristen.

Wait Jordan Peele said he would make a live action Gargoyles? And it has not happened? I would see this in the cinema, like 6 times.

That’s why I am not surprised by this move. Its a pretty basic tactic. My capstone project was a business simulation with a group of 4. We were up against other teams in the simulation. We took second and lost by just a couple points using a strategy that had us keep reserves on a knifes edge early on and expand them

YES, exactly this! If the airlines rebound they might pay dividends and thus have to pay the government and that funds us. If they want their stock back they can buy it at market rate. If they purposely try to tank it there is a large shareholder called the Government of the United States of America to weigh in on who

A high stock price can be used as a reserve.  If you buy back a lot of shares and the price goes up, if you need money you sell shares.  In the current environment that wont work, shares took too big a hit for anyone to buy.

As they exist now, yes. This would be a good time to regulate and take ownership in them as part of a bailout. Force any dollar given to receive stock at current market price. If the airlines make money they will pay a dividend, that money to the government as shareholders. If the airlines want out from government

I see a bailout requiring two big items. First a new set of regulations that improve seat size, fair pricing, upfront pricing, baggage, and basic rights. Second, the bailout money is given for shares at market price. You give money back to the government, you get your shares back. You make a profit and hand out

We should tie any bailout money to increased leg room and no carry on fees.  Also they have to hold larger reserves.

Nothing, if its a cash for shares, if the airlines succeed then any dividend payout would help fund the government.  In fact I think it would be great to have any future bailout be a cash/share swap.  After a set time or recovery milestones the company can buy its shares back from the government at market price.

Not going to lie, its true, most shareholders are garbage, sometimes even me.  Really though this was a decision made in the moment, good or bad, I don’t think it was made with ill intent for the situation we are in now.

This is a hard one, the airlines felt they were doing the right thing for their shareholders which is sort of what a business is supposed to do (as long as its ethical).  But they know that there could be a global recession or other impact event and didn’t hold reserves.  Even if they did I don’t know if it would have

I did not need a reminder that the PS2 came out when I graduated high school.  Thanks for that.

I still really want the ID.3, if they bring that then its a good chance at my next EV.

First off, CP all the way, this thing is about $3000 overpriced from what it cost to make.  Second I remember they had a Coda dealer at the Irvine Automall and I think it was open like a year. It was a really sad sight when they were open, even worse when they closed.  I did take one for a test drive, it was okay, it

The Leaf is really good, and it has head room.   I don’t remember what the Spark was like because I only drove it once.  I do think you have a really good chance of fitting comfortably in the Leaf.

This is solid advice, the only downside is the Spark has a garbage interior and my Leaf is holding up really well.

Rough.  I know that’s how it was pretty much everywhere by 2007ish, even forward deployed.  Some of the older equipment on my ship was out of warranty so we had a chance to do deep troubleshooting and repairs.  We even gave out an achievement medal to a couple electronic techs for swapping chips on a critical system

One time, in my first car a Saturn SL2, 10 feet from the gas pump.  Worst part was that it was an almost full gas station and everyone watched when the car died.  I then had to get out with my buddy and push it the last 10 feet to get gas.  I was young and broke so I was paying with the ten dollar bill and 9 quarters
