I do from time to time, but yeah... it's rare for me to add a new food to my tasty list. I think in the last three or four years I've added two new things.

Mostly vitamins, yes, although some things work. Lots of tomato derivatives and sauces are fine, but not tomatoes themselves. Potatoes are good in almost all forms - mashed, fried, baked, all fine.

I would guess it depends on whether or not it remains on the skin. I don't know much about creams or sprays, but I would think at least some of them would have active ingredients absorbed and the rest evaporate.

The traits and behaviors of the groups that you say are implied make the problem disappear entirely. My sole problem was that "An X is someone who says they're an X" is meaningless without the implication you're attaching, and it's not one I think we can freely throw around because that implication implies a few…

And they always have some outside qualifiers given to the concepts. They are never defined in a self-referential way without adding more descriptors on top to give the category meaning.

I don't think you're understanding my question.

I get that. And that is fine. What is not fine is "you're a man if you say so" because then those traits are not ascribed to that group and the group's only quality is "says they're men" which has no real meaning.
