I got two of these for a 10-day trip to Hawaii and they were amazing! I’m 5'7" and 140lbs - Medium fit me perfectly.

Nuke with wet paper towel cover for one minute. Damn delicious.

I read your recipe at work when it was posted and made it that same night. (Now, I’ve never had a White Castle burger, being raised on the west coast... but I was familiar with them because Susan Sarandon and James Spader.)

Chiken Kiev was my first ‘cooked it all by myself for a guy’ experiment. Surprisingly not difficult, but takes some patience with the pounding of the chicken and toothpick placement. I’ve taught Chicken Kiev to at least a dozen people, including my son (again for an impressive date-meal).

Yep. My husband works at a large 5-star restaurant in our area. They have two staff meals per day (lunch & dinner) because even though they don’t open until 4pm, there are employees on site from 9am-1am. These meals are off-menu and prepared by kitchen staff who sometimes use family recipes. Usually a pasta or burger

I once went to a very fancy Mother’s Day buffet dinner with a guy I was dating and his mom at a five-star resort. After the meal, Dude uses his linen restaurant napkin to blow his nose - like a gigantic, very wet sounding honk of a nose-blowing - then tossed the napkin on the table for the busser to pick up. The most glaring/obvious change was that I stopped coughing all the time. Stairs became easier. A more heightened sense of taste returned.

This is long, but it’s good. I’m about to turn 50 and this memory is bringing a huuuuge smile to my face. It’s about a boy.

This is killing me... my dad is also german... surname Arnold.

Wha?! My dad was raised in Tennessee as a small boy!

Holy Crap. This is the first time I’ve heard the word Slumgullion outside of my own small family. I thought it was a dish my dad and his buddy made up when they were in the Army in the 50's (see also a made up version of martial arts called “Botsumi”). His was a pasta/casserole thing... tomato base, large shell pasta,

I see your point, Claire, and I’m sure melty ersatz Velveeta helps with those store-bought-in-a-box-shingle-corn things... but you’re missing the bigger (and far tastier, infinitely more manageable) picture here:

This town is haunted pretty much everywhere.
