Yeah, if someone attacks you, fight back. You just can’t be the aggressor, because then they’ll make you the face of liberal evil and use your example to promote more vicious attacks.

This is what boggles my mind about the response some left-leaning people have to all of this. I’ve seen an alarming number of people advocate for vandalism or destruction of property owned by or affiliated with conservatives. If that starts happening, the GOP and their band of crazies will take it as a sign they can…
Remote control car on Mars, ran down a comet and landed on it, sending shit to Alpha Centauri - at the same time, a reset on what we believe as a nation, where we stand internationally, re-litigating civil rights, property rights, intellectual property. Fucking amazing times.

I’m not sure if boomers dying off will solve this particular problem.
Look how they were bought up. They were products of their time. It was all USA, USA, USA. You had Tail gunner Joe lookin’ for Commies, a big win on both fronts of WW2, a decade of space exploration achievements (I’m mighty proud of that myself), the explosion of Rock n’ roll and too many others to continue.
Of course not. They don’t see themselves as “working class” but as “temporarily embarrassed millionaires” who fully expect all that wealth to trickle down.
I’m hoping it stays in the safe until it’s time to hit the range again.
She doesn’t regret her comments. You can just tell she was forced to apologize to smooth things over. She probably hasn’t had a moment of true self-reflection in her entire life. She regrets being caught in the people’s crosshairs.
At the end of the day, it comes down to what proportion on the right are ready to put their money where their mouth is, and whether or not their leaders are willing or able to talk them down for the sake of the country.
