You know it’s a slow year for RPGs when Lies of P (possibly the worst name for a video game in history) makes the list. No disrespect to P as it’s a very competent and interesting Soulslike, but that seems like a stretch.

Starfield honestly lacked the charm of skyrim or fallout. I think it was mainly an issue in how you traveled. It was all insta-teleport which removed most of the exploration wonder that it could have been.

Event Horizon feels much more like a Warhammer 40k story than Lovecraft. And boy did it terrify me when I snuck in to watch it as a young teen...

if you knew anything about Layden’s career and how hard he championed for smaller niche and obscure import games, and especially fought for the PSP and Vita, you would not make such a characteristically inaccurate statement. If anything, Sony would be better served having him back and filling Jim Ryan’s shoes.

Also holding out for Uzimaki. The director Hiroshi Nagahama did two seasons of Mushishi so has track record of really getting how to create the right atmosphere.
