A huge influence on my own music, no one did sinister jazz quite like him! RIP Mr. Badalamenti. His work as Thought Gang is wonderful, particularly ‘The Pink Room’.

Aw, man. What a loss. Loved those last few pieces he wrote for “The Return,” whenever his chords would rise on the soundtrack in that icy, brilliant show - you knew you were in for a treat.

I’ve been to North Bend many times, and once I went to the diner from the show.

This summer we stopped at Snoqualmie Falls on our way through WA. Standing on the viewing platform looking at the falls, Badalamenti’s Twin Peaks just naturally starts playing in your head.

Bummer. Lost Highway is one of my favorite soundtracks. His noir score mixed in surprisingly well with all the eerie 90s alt rock.

It’s impossible for me to imagine Lynch’s movies/shows without Badalamenti’s soundtracks.

I was disappointed that they didn’t run with the moral ambiguity a bit more. “Superhero who kills people” is still a minority in DC comics, but it describes 95% of action movie heroes, and everyone he kills is a scumbag with no redeeming qualities. There’s no point in the film where I really doubted that he was going…

Or maybe the more educated we become about using sex toys people will learn how not to get in trouble using one.
