They’re very clearly launching now because Zelda is ready. If it wasn’t, they’d delay. If you don’t want Zelda, don’t buy now. They’ll get their shit together by the holiday season, when most sales will occur.

It’s kind of funny the full-circled nature of this. Now we’re criticizing Nintendo for not having VC ready at launch on their newest console. I remember back in the day, when they first announced VC was going to be a feature of the Wii, we were instead criticizing Nintendo for selling us their back catalog because…
I think I see their strategy here.... They’re releasing Switch during a time period where sales are traditionally low for video games. Nintendo makes instant money selling out all preorders to get market penetration, with the idea of improving things and adding features throughout the year, in time for Christmas. My…
The Wii is the only system to have virtual console at launch. Neither the WiiU or 3DS had VC when they launched.
Another point in favor for the “rushed to market even if it wasn’t ready”.
Your ability to enjoy the tabletop game Secret Hitler will likely depend on your ability to laugh as an increasingly…
Nah, more of a turn-based tactics with positioning and grids and all that goodness. Plus you can play it for years. Also years.
You don’t.

I originally starred you, but these other guys have made good points. I would add, the penalty of losing to a much lower ranked team should also be more severe. Making the risk reward make no sense.
They can allow matchmaking take more time to find better suited opponents and thus more balanced teams. They can also provide less ranking points to winning teams that grossly outmatch their competitor.
Like others have suggested, you just give highly ranked teams fewer points for beating lower ranked teams. Then, if they want to compete, they must go beat evenly matched teams.
A quick solution would be to heavily nerf how many points you get for beating lower-ranked teams/players.
If you got less ranking points bonus for winning matches against teams with significantly lower ratings than yours would work. Now if a 4k team beats a 2.8k team, the 4k team wins almost no points since they should have won, and in theory that 2.8k team loses no points because they are heavily favored to lose.
Hey, it’s like capitalism.
So if I can, I should craft sylv or rag quick before the spring, just to have for wild, and to get free dust later?
Ah yes, the classic CCG strategy of planned obsolescence. Nothing like spending hundreds of dollars on cards that can no longer be used.
So a dude with more money than most people see in their lives chose to take advantage of economically-disadvantaged individuals for the sake of some anti-Semitic “humor,” and is now surprised that there are consequences that go with that kind of behavior.
Got it.
Having read some of the comments on the previous article…
I mean, not surprising. You can be an idiot on the internet all you want. We’re all dicks sometime. But once you regularly start going, “Hey, lets see how racist and shitty I can be,” even in the context of something like Fiverr, you’re doing it wrong. Everybody’s trolled before. It’s an internet rite of passage.…
Maybe it’s because I’m oldish, but I have trouble calling the difference between 60 fps and 51-58 “significant” like the guy in the video is so adamant about. Admittedly, back in my day, when 3D games first appeared, we were lucky to get 12 fps, and happy to have it too! Still though, great feature to add to the Pro.
