That would be because the movie was shot close to three years ago.

Yeah, Sharkboy and Lavagirl. And wasn't Shorts was also based on a kid's idea?
Depends on how many syringes said scientist is holding at the moment.
We'll pay you in gratitude.
Oh, to be a fly on the wall in that Fox boardroom.
Yeah, I know because they kept playing that fucking scene in every commercial for whichever one that was. At this point, I'm convinced ALL of them have a scene like that.
Tyrmynaytyr Gynysys
I saw a review of The Road Chip that mentions how John Waters, of all people, cameos in the film - and Alvin explicitly confirms that he, at some point in the films' continuity, sat down and watched Pink Flamingos, which is apparently why he doesn't want to sit next to Waters on a plane.
I didn't watch them either. But it's hard to live in Washington and not know way too much about Twilight.
(whispers) The monster is calling from inside the truck…
Because that moviemaking formula worked so well for Robert Rodriguez's kids movies…
Between this, Stranger Things and especially The Nice Guys, last summer was (artistically, at least) a big winner for late 20th-century period pieces.
If you count them, the Twilight films were shot in British Columbia and Oregon (and set in Washington).
The AV Club?
It will at least be better than Anna Kendrick and the Ice Cream Bunny.
So when #OscarsSoWhite inevitably starts trending again, we can expect AV Clubbers to retaliate with. "Whaddaya mean, they nominated Emma Stone!," I take it?
"I kissed Santa, and I liked it
Taste of her candy-cane lips
I kissed Santa just to try it
I hope Mrs. Claus don't mind it"
"Waltz to the Death," from the Batman soundtrack.
And now the A.V. Club owes me a lifetime supply of…. something for stealing my wholly original joke about Panda Express food not containing real panda!
I think it's safe to say his golden years are over.
