You can pull my manual Subaru out of my cold, dead, hands!

The mesh is showing you the... alternator.  Turbo is hard to see, its in the back passenger side of the engine bay down a bit from the intake manifold.

You are not far off. I bought mine (which is a near clone of this car, and incredibly well maintained) for 8k last year. I knew exactly what I wanted, was willing to pay.  There are buyers out there - just not many of them!

Cobb off-the-shelf maps tend to cover this quite well (which I’m going to assume/hope the seller has done)

I basically have this car - 05 LGT 5 speed, same color, same option set (no sunroof, which saves around 300 pounds). Interior looks good, miles are relatively low. Sure, its overpriced by at least a few grand. But these are nearly unobtanium. Up+downpipe the intake (sticker is worth 5 HP alone) + flash + some sway

Rich friend of mine has one, its his daily. He’ll never get rid of it. It is such a good highway car...

Big difference between making more boost and burning a well tuned mixture and “rolling coal”, which means there is far more fuel being injected than is actually needed.

Chicken Dinner!

B5 S4 owner here: RUN!  “Intermittent” CEL my arse.

these 4.2L Audi V8s are a nightmare to work on. For example, the timing chains (which sometimes get broken followers) are in the *back* of the engine, you need to pull the engine and disconnect the transmission to work on it.

All I care about is getting rid of the stupid California “visual inspection” rule that makes it so I can’t slap a E85 burning turbo on my car that will be cleaner than the original but is prohibited.

I wonder how long that diff is going to hold up to ~ 400 pound feet +

Oh god I’m dying. It literally took me three tries to get that. I complain to myself *daily* about BMW drivers here in the Bay Area so I have special love for this.

Amen for this kids. Damn the haters, this is great!

I thought the cut for being able to mess with your car with 74?

I am with you. But just how bad does it shake? I am suspecting first and second order imbalances enough to cause a mild concussion.

It may be a generational thing. My Dad does this to his cars. He is old, grew up on a farm. Makes no sense to me too!

ad hominem. So pro.

Seriously United... this is just offensive.

As per my comment to Ash78 above, I’m going to steer you away from the 10 year old Audi. I’ve had my B5 S4 for three years now, and loved it, and also paid *out the nose* to keep it going. I want to not say this, but they are a serious issue. Some say the B6 wagons are better (which is what a 10 year old model will
