That seems to just be Animal Crossing’s style. Even when they added Isabelle to Smash Bros, a series that usually makes its fighters extra-detailed, she looked pretty much the same as the game she came from.

I like the colorful side decal, especially how the front blue portion matches the blue brake caliper. It’d be cool if they painted the rear caliper red to match the rear portion of the decal.
