I used my minidisc player until it stopped working around 2007 or 2008. I liked it, although the Sony software that it was bundled with to convert audio was weirdly restrictive... it would arbitrarily decide that I wasn’t allowed to convert certain music.

On a lot of captive imports I wouldn’t do the conversion, but on a Chevy SS I think I would, simply because “Chevy SS” is such an uninspired name. It’s... a trim level. The entire car is a trim level.
