These rules are why EV’s suck dangly ball-sack when you compare ease of use to an ICE vehicle. The fact that you have to stick to within a 50-60% range of your battery’s total capacity to maximize it’s life just seems like a lot of work for anyone that doesn’t have a wall charger at home.

Tbh, it’s definitely starting to look like the Cybertruck has too many compromises compared to regular ICE trucks. I mean, 2 main things that truck drivers look for when shopping around for a truck (even if they don’t use it as intended):

“Oh, this sign doesn’t apply to me, it’s probably just exaggerating.” - Guy that literally drove into a hole, and then walked 5 miles home to call the police and report f***ed up car as stolen to the police.

Sounds like this could be partially fixed by better torque vectoring. Maybe a tire saver mode that limits how quickly motors spool up? EV tires probably need a harder rubber compound as well. Additional weight naturally gives you extra grip, so use that to your advantage.

The argument against buying a Tesla grows stronger every year.

Mandatory outdated joke: If you damage a body panel on the iCar, will you just have to throw the whole thing out and buy a new one? How about iOS updates? Will there be forced obsolescence after 3 years?

While I’m not really a fan of cruise holidays, I do see the appeal - You’re basically paying a company to shuttle you around to see cool cities and places, while being able just to veg out and relax without having to think or stress out about your next days’ plans.

Does not rushing out EV’s really make them less green than other manufacturers? Less than 8% of new vehicles being sold in the USA are EV’s, and I imagine a huge chunk of that was from Tesla. Until manufacturing and powering EV’s becomes more sustainable, EV’s are just more of the same, polluting, hunks of metal and

There is really no way to avoid rust, apart from just not driving during the winter. I have noticed that my cars’ rust bubble weeps more during the winter - When I took it to a repair shop, the guy just said, “yeah, I can fix it, but it will be back in a few years. You’re better off just finding a new door from a

Yeah, fair point. I keep wilfully forgetting that people do the dumbest shit for social clout.

Is Twitch worried that people won’t be able to understand that this was “just a prank bro” (tm) ?

“Ignoring the mileage”

I saw an absolutely minty version of this in red parked outside my place last year. I’d never seen one in person before, but I was really fascinated by the layout of the rear glasshouse. It’s pretty unique looking!

If you squint enough, it looks like a stubby first gen disco.

So long as he doesn’t do them at work (which would definitely mess everything up,) why do you care?

I rented an Elantra while in the rockies, and I must say, I was surprised at how well refined, and easy to drive it is - But that’s coming from someone that drives a 13 year old CRV, so it might not be the best yardstick.

An LS probably just wouldn’t sound as good though. I’m sure it would sound good, but just not screaming Ferrari good. He is saying that sound was part of the equation.

It looks great.

Oof. Just thinking of the insurance premium for any of these vehicle for a college graduate is giving me a headache.

The dystopian future is happening right now. I keep seeing weight loss commercials with AI generated “before and after” images of some generically attractive woman in my FB feed, and it is already starting to piss me off.
