I think it’s because this is the first time these people have been forced to follow rules that they didn’t agree with. They think of rules as things that people follow to make them feel more comfortable.

The whole world has experienced that, but this seems like more of a problem in the U.S. And it’s not hard to see why.

The kind of people who rant about their rights (real or imagined) while never once showing even the tiniest consideration for their responsibilities. Not one of them comprehends the old saying about the right for you to swing your fists, ends where someone else’s nose begins.
