They have mental illnesses! Them, over there. Not us, over here. We don’t have problems like that.
Back when men could have their wives institutionalized just by saying they needed to be, my father (not a nice man) would threaten my mother with this. With four children aged five and under, my mother didn’t think my father would do that, because he wouldn’t take care of us, but on the other hand, his mother, who…
I have my fair share of mental illnesses and disorders so the notion that I don’t care about the plight of the mentally ill because I didn’t drum up an alternative mental health policy than Andrew Yang is absurd. But go off.
I hope you feel the same way if you randomly get institutionalized.
Talking about mentally ill as some sort of “other” part of society whose rights are privileged at the expense of everyone else, and suggesting that they’re more dangerous than other members of society when statistically that’s not even close to being true. Using that stereotype as the premise for the idea that they…
I don’t know anyone personally and I am not New Yorker.
So as someone who works with people with mental disabilities, behavioral issues, and emotional disorders, etc.
There are a lot of people that like his UBI proposal. That’s probably they only policy that he is really memorable for.
Mentioning history is the same as saying the policy will be bad?
“Let’s fight bigotry against AAPI with bigotry against the mentally ill!”
Maybe it’s just me, and I’m not a New Yorker and I just don’t get it. Okay? Who is the person that thinks Andrew Yang is awesome AND isn’t named Andrew Yang? Like, what’s the appeal of the guy? Maybe there’s more than one person that thinks he’s great or whatever. Who are those people? Are they a tidy cross section of…
Reminder that in most circumstances the mentally ill are more likely to be victims of violence than perpetrators. Also Yang is kind of trash, js.
What about personality disorders? I think Yang is a textbook case for at least a couple of them.
This is exactly how I feel about Last Podcast on the Left. I’ve dubbed these ones like these “Man Shows”. In addition to the crude jokes, the hosts will ramble for 7 minutes before actually introducing the show topic. Then, they go off on wayyy too many tangents, usually involving movie references.
Bullies often think that they are the victim and feel totally justified in being nasty.
For sure, but I have been listening to podcasts for years and I think I have yet to buy a single product advertised despite the awareness raised.
I listen to podcasts all the time, but I still don’t understand how they could be worth that much money. I have yet to buy a Casper mattress or a pair of meUndies, but I guess I’m in the minority.
This sounds so familiar. My bully is ‘famous’ and i want to do a whole expose on them with as many sources as possible just because they’ve now started blaming us on their behaviour.
How about this gem from Biden:
