Thanks for this. An owner reviewing their own car that they live with is always more valuable than any other type of review.

You and your friends compare the build quality of your recently purchased Model 3's. WE DO THE SAME THING!!!! Uncanny.
So, litterbugs are “disgusting cunts?” Hmm, I think a little proportionality might be called for here, since, in the grand scheme of things, the world is filled with people who do things considerably worse than litter, (rape, drug dealing, murder, child molestation etc, you know the routine), and I fear that you might…
Smokers are some of the most ignorant, selfish motherfuckers on the planet. Zero chance that they will actually use an ash tray.
1000% agreed. if each time I ate a candy bar or some fast food item I balled it up and checked it out my window people would look at me like I grew another head. What makes that breed of smoker who is not as uncommon as should be think that it's okay for them to flick their cigarette butts out their window. Surely…
The game of Lava, Mustang, Crowds is a lot like Rock, Paper, Scissors.
I have an old car that uses red turn signals, and I wholeheartedly agree about the safety issue. It’s especially problematic on cars that are too old to have third brake lights, as running the turn signal makes it even harder to tell if the brake lights are on.
Seriously Jenn. Stop it. That is not cool.
As an attorney I found this hilarious. And if the car is in LA county, I can get my deputy DA best friend on it!
Yeah why can’t we just trust the NTSB right? I mean they did so good with the whole Goodyear RV tire scandal and kept the public safe right? Those Takata inflators that were killing people were immediately investigated and publicly reported right? Oh they weren’t? You don’t say.......it’s almost like that “neutral”…
that particular company is having a fairly bad last twelve months.
When I had a long commute in traffic I used to dream of autopilot.
The issue, he said, is that the tech quite likely “classified her as something other than a stationary object.”
the investment will still put you in the black long term, it just depends on how long you wait. over the last 40+ years the S&P has averaged 8% annually. Even if you have a 2008 type situation you’ll have broken ahead by 2011 or so.
Not a bad plan except for the fact that any gains you make in the stock market will be more than gobbled up by the depreciation in your car. Why people don’t buy cars that are 6 or 7 years old but we’re driven little with low miles is beyond me. That’s what I’ve always done and I haven’t had a car payment in 25 years.
I don’t think people are getting the point of this article. Over 60% of Americans live pay check to pay check with less than $1000 savings and they’re spending record number of money on car loans. This doesn’t apply to tiny fraction of people that could pay out their car loan at any time.
In come the car loan apologists that count for less than 1% of the population. “But there’s perfectly valid reasons!” Meanwhile record number of people are in debt and complain about how there not enough for a regular standard of living.
Yeah same here. I borrowed at 2.33% to buy my car with only 5k down even though I could’ve pay cash for it.
Ditto. I got a 0% APR for 60 months with $0 down. I mean.....who wouldn’t take that? I’ve literally made $4,000 in the stock market in the past year out of the $27,000 that would have instead gone to the car.
It’s somewhat mean-spirited, but yeah, thieves are a lower subspecies and deserve them some righteous diseasing.
